A Speed limit has been placed on turtle racing at Brennan's Bar, Santa Monica.
This should enable a reduction in speed related turtle injuries
Friday night in Stillwater, MN. Car window.
The sign outside was only ten feet away - but I have no idea what it says!
Evening beer imbibing with Matt & Ben; hijinx ensue.
At some point, Ben decided he should sign my boob.
Yes, we were in public. But whatever.
Landmark sign (circa 1970's) with trompe l'oeil painters, on railway bridge over Chalk Farm Road. The area has several antique/alternative markets (including Camden Lock market itself) which are a magnet for tourists. London Borough of Camden.

Seen on a recent visit to China, a brave effort at warning any English speaking visitors of their approach to a toll gate!
Sincere thanks for your visits and comments!

This sign is at the corner of N Apache Trail and E Lost Dutchman Blvd, but there's no building here, just a big vacant lot.
Edit: Gone. Disappeared sometime between 2015 and 2018.

This sign held such a prominent place on my mental map of the Kalamazoo area when I was growing up that it was truly a shock to see it go. I could always count on the flashing orange arrow to mean "almost home" as we passed by on I-94 after a trip. It was notorious for never having the neon working on all of the letters at once, which only added to its charm. The motel remains, but the sign and one of the strongest personal landmarks which lent a sense of place to my hometown of Kalamazoo became a casualty of a freeway widening project. The replacement sign has a pleasant enough font, but it is a far cry from its predecessor.
.....no kids after 9, stick yer "dog ends" where the arrow shows, no drinking outside, no smoking inside, etc etc. But they are sorry, thankful and polite, apparently. And serve yummy John Smiths beer. Which is why we always go next door.
Most every week this sign changes. Often it's very, very amusing, as this one demonstrates. Sometimes there are duds (of course, just my most excellent opinion) but most make me chuckle and drive back around for a photo.
Pow Wow Trading Post, Route 66 in Holbrook Arizona.
The place is closed, but the sign is still in great shape.
-The Hippies sign is my favorite, but the cat one is so true - my rascals are always trying to convince visitors they're allowed outside, lol!
Still feeling sicky, still taking a couple naps a day and antibiotics, but going to try to have a productive Sunday anyway. Hopefully i'll get in a bench shot, i've got something spectacular for it!
K, tell me which is your favorite and you get a brownie!
(Please excuse the glare spot.)
