Go North East's Riverside-based "Tyne Tees Xpress" branded Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 6045 (NK12 GCV) is pictured here on Holeyn Hall Road, Heddon-on-the-Wall, near Close House, whilst working Masters Golf service MG1 to Newcastle City Centre. 29/09/17
The European Tour travels to Close House in Northumberland for the first time in its history for the 2017 British Masters supported by Sky Sports from 28 September until 1 October.
Getting to Close House will be easy across all 5 days of the competition with a regular MG1 bus service from Go North East linking Newcastle City Centre with the venue.
Buses will leave from opposite Newcastle Central Station (Bewick Street stop), St Andrew’s Church on Newgate Street (for Monument Metro Station and Eldon Square Bus Station) and Barras Bridge (for Haymarket Metro & Bus Station) and then run non-stop via the A69 to Close House. The first bus on each day will be at 6.30am and there will be regular departures until 11am, with buses returning from Close House from 2pm until 6.30pm on each day. Buses will run up to every 15 minutes for the Pro-Am competition, and up to every 10 minutes for the days of the British Masters.
The service is primarily allocated the Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs formerly allocated to "Tyne Tees Xpress" services X9/X10, which were recently replaced by brand new Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B5TLs on these services.

TGI Wednesday ... that's for sure. :-)
In Denali NP, one of our favorite things to photograph in the fall is the bull moose. This is the time that they begin to congregate in groups and the males begin to lose their velvet in preparation of the rut season. Usually the fall colors begin to be in full bloom and in years past, it seemed that you almost needed sunglasses, as the colors were so vivid and bright. This year however, possibly due to the odd weather patterns that beset Alaska last winter, caused the colors to be not as bright. Though for someone coming from south Florida, where we don't get color changes, it was still beautiful.
For some reason as well, though the bull and cow moose were present in numbers, there didn't seem to be as many. Not really sure why.
This particular bull moose made itself known to us and seemed ready to go ... following the females, velvet shed, and at times hanging with the other bulls. We wished that we could actually witness the action of the rut, but of course, that wouldn't be for another several weeks to a month. Still it's quite a thrill to see these big guys in person and imagine what it would be like when the real action begins. :-)

New as Bradford 466 with Alexander bodywork, it reached Fylde via WYPTE, Hull and a Barnsley breaker who removed the body. Northern Counties built a new single deck bodywork and it emerged in 1993 as Fylde 6. Withdrawn by Blackpool Transport in 1999 it passed to Green Bus, Staffs then Shuttlebus, Birmgham and finally Thames Bus. It had fallen into poor state of repair when Thames Bus acquired it and it saw little use. It was inspected and test driven on 26 Feb 2005 but wasn't chosen for preservation. Soon after it was the first of the four to be scrapped

After Auburn University bought its own bus fleet, First Transit scattered the buses it operated there to other services. Buses 7367 & 7699 ended up at the Rochester Institute of Technology, apparently displacing articulated D60LFs 1529 & 1530.
Still in full Auburn paint, 7367 is assigned to the Park Point service on a sunny April day.

The summer and autumn of 2015 has seen the replacement of a lengthy pedestrian footbridge over the M62 at its Liverpool terminus. A shuttlebus was laid on as a replacement otherwise pedestrians would have faced a considerable detour - about 400 persons used the bridge daily. Cumfybus of Southport operated the service which was initially intended to finish in October; however construction overruns means it was still operating last week.
One of Cumfybus' ubiquitous Optare Solos, YN04LXA pauses at the turning circle at Bowring, awating departure. This bu was new in May 2004 to Sheffield Community Transport.
The service is numbered K1: K1 was the number latterly borne by the now-demolished bridge.
