Pollination is the process by which pollen is transferred in plants enabling fertilization and sexual reproduction -- a necessary step in the reproduction of flowering plants. The study of pollination brings together many disciplines, such as botany, horticulture, entomology and ecology.

The pollination process is important in horticulture and agriculture because fruiting is dependent on fertilization, which is the end result of pollination.

This photo is of a musk thistle -- a wildflower that is common in the months of June through October. Typical habitat consists of roadsides, waste places, fields, pastures and rangelands. It is a great pollenizer.

The Shutter Speed makes the water looks like it's coming through one hole but it's coming through multiple holes.

I chose this photo because I like how the drops of water are captured, they are frozen but still convey movement. Also I like how the light reflects off of the metal and water.
