My coordinator at the dorms decided to stack a bunch of boxes up for the fun of it and I walked by as he was stacking them and thought I'd take a picture. This image used a slow shuter speed of 1/4(0.25 seconds) and an apeture of f/22.

Shutter Speed grading test 1

Creating Colour in the Dark!

I took this image while shooting images for subjects in motion. However, I thought that this image demonstrated my control of shutter speed and the millisecond of a moment that tells a story.

In this photo, I combined liquid and high shutter speed. I set the shutter speed to 1/640. By having a high shutter speed I am able to capture a shot of the water in the air with it looking really clear. This creates a "frozen in time" look to the photo which is what I was going for. I wanted to be able to capture a really crisp and still shot of the water in midair. I feel like I was able to achieve that very well by using a high shutter speed.

Shutter Speed: 0.013 sec (1/80)

Aperture: f/13

Focal Length: 48

ISO Speed: 100

This shot was taken about 1:25 P.M. in Baldwin Park just outside my house. I wanted to take a shot of myself from the back and have a large amount of scenery around me. This pictures shows the world I live in.

The shutter speed at 1/8 made the arms blurry. The aperture of 22 made sure the face was clear. The ISO at 400 made sure the background was brighter than normal.
