Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) MP15AC no. 152 (EMD, 1975-1984) is seen approaching the 11th St grade crossing as it shuffles out of Long Island City Station in the Queens neighborhood of the same name. 152 is the current protect engine for the LIC terminal, idling nearby on a short siding on the Lower Montauk Branch ready to spring into action in the event of equipment failures in the terminal. On this day it did get to see some action! A very exciting trip to the terminal for refueling, so that it could happily go back to idling!

The zombie shuffle, this was soooooooooooo awesome!!! unfortunately, i wasnt a zombie this time :( which made me feel sad....but theres always next year! :D

Part of the Buffalo skyline as seen from the observation deck of City Hall. The older (1871) granite city hall and county courthouse with the clock tower can be seen in the center. Buffalo is the (distant) second largest city in New York and sits at the extreme eastern tip of Lake Erie.

L&I's Columbus Local was doing its thing and showing off its PRR influence as it shuffled cars in the yard at Columbus.

A yard crew shuffles around some tank cars in the storage yard at the north end of North Yard. UP 1957 was delivered to Union Pacific in January 1980 as UP 3692. It has been rebuilt by UP and now has the model designation of an SD40N.

On sale at Target...

I accidentally washed my old iPod shuffle that I bought back in 2006. It was starting to act funny, so maybe it was indeed time for a new one. The sound is much better on my new pink one!

CSL I mean SCIH... pulls down the BP lead and across the draw bridges at Hick Tower while making the 503 shuffle. The 503 shuffle is one of the ways the CSL delivers cars to the NS from Indiana Harbor and seems to be the most used method from I have been told, the crew will shove off of the lake sub, pass Hick Tower to clear the signals at 503, once clear they pull down the BP lead, cut off their train and then do the process in reverse to get back onto their tracks and head for home. Shooting the CSL in sun light has been one of my main Chicago goals for a while as every time I see them its too late to do anything about it, its cloudy or they just plan aren't running when I try.

didn't catch the symbol, but holy moly was this a consist.

so tiny! <3

so cute...

so simple.

A new addition to the family, the iPod 32GB & iPod Touch 16GB went out & had themselves a 4GB baby! awwww... ❤

Sacramento Southern Railroad (SSRR) SW8 no. 2030 is seen shunting cars in the yard at the California State Railroad Museum, assembling the passenger consist for the weekend's excursions. The SSRR is the operating arm of the museum, running excursion trains along the Sacramento River. Locomotive 2030 was originally built in 1951 for the US Army, and was purchased by the museum in 1995.

Black-faced Cuckoo-shrikes frequently perform a little series of wing-shuffles when they land in a tree, hence the raised wing here. I enjoyed watching a family group in Bridgetown a while ago.

37611 Pegasus drifts along the Down Derby Slow passing the deserted Tarmac plant at Washwood Heath. The Tractor was moving 5 former Arriva TfW Mk3's running as 5H74 Castle Donnington to Bicester M.O.D. and would return the following day with a further 4 Mk3's.

I have been to this spot many times. Often in heavy rain. Thing is it’s not far from a Lakeland town, that we often go to when the weather isn’t suitable for anything else (well with kids anyway). So who knows the spot? I’m sure there has been much a tripod shuffling going on here…

my almighty shuffle in pieces..

Coming down off the esker at the Chequamegon-Nicolet NF. I often switch lenses and stow the tripod on my way back to the trailhead. My perspective gets a little higher!

we invented a new card game.

Trying out a friends pink iPod shuffle, probably gonna buy one in NYC... Sexy, huh? ;)

I don't know about you, but I found this week's theme very challenging (in a good way)!
