'Shuffling the Deck' is an Op Art version of a macro photograph of an anemone flower. I have always loved Op Art, and was delighted when this experiment worked out.
A Golden Hour intercept turned into a Blue Hour pan as Norfolk Southern's Conrail heritage unit was held up in Harrisburg leading train 39Q. I was hoping for the last of the day's rays to paint that beautiful can opener, but terminal congestion had them sit until darkness fell. I stuck it out, and gambled on a half-second handheld pan. Good enough!
"The" Prairie Line MP15DC #1001 and crew work to extract a specific five CREX ES44ACs from a long line of the stored locomotives parked in TRRA's Miller yard near the St. Louis waterfront. Ultimately, some 75 of the units will be patched for CN and put into service, currently in the 3900 series, after servicing and repairs at MEI's Arsenal Street shops.
This giant mural depicts musicians performing the traditional Pana Shuffle, and is a vivid and colorful evocation of peace and community spirit. Intended to represent the essence of Cork, many of the characters depicted are based on real local people. The mural which runs the length of Mutton Lane was painted by local artist Anthony Ruby in 2004. www.anthonyruby.com/?page_id=42
Its provenance can be dated by the message painted into the colorful scene, which was intended as a commentary on world events at the time.
"This mural The Pana Shuffle was painted by me Anthony Ruby between June and December 2004. It is dedicated to everyone except George Bush"
Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday. :-)

Just another shot from a fun trip last summer.
After failing to fit with five units as described and documented in this post: flic.kr/p/2m7yAwM the NRFF crew is back with only their three original units affording them enough head room up against LSRY GP9 1751 to clear the switch so they can reverse back to Coxton yard and get on their train to start back south down the Lehigh Line toward North Reading. Meanwhile their colleagues on YJPI helped out moving their train so they can double up to the pair of GP30s and take all five back as requested by the powers that be in Port Clinton.
While I'm sure this was eminently annoying for the crew it did afford us some interesting and relatively infrequent photo opportunities of the two railroads that call Pittston home right up next to each other.

A short SAHW crosses the former IC trestle over Shuffle Creek with Lake Lemon in the background. This was my second attempt to drone this bridge driving down the endless backroads like a madman only to see the train fly over before getting set up. This time clouds almost made me decide to forego the chase but thankfully the sun dipped below the cloud bank making the three hour drive home that much better.

Inside the locomotive Höland at the Tertitten musuem railway. It isn't often I get a chance to look in to the cab of a locomotive, and that the driver was shoveling coal in to the firebox from the coal bunker.
Høland drove on the Urskog-Høland Railway (Urskog-Hølandsbanen) until it was shut down in 1960. The locomotive has been renovated back to its delivery state and got a new boiler in 1985.
Harlem Shuffle
What could this image possibly have to do with the harlem shuffle? Let me try to bring this into context. As we can see here, we clearly are not looking at a flight shot. Both wings are quite plainly in rest position on the the Chickadee's back. So what could explain her being in mid-air without wing action? Obviously, the answer is levitation. The interesting thing here is that this is not just up and down levitation but levitation that is of a horizontal nature. They now seem to have accomplished complete control over gravity without their natural ability to fly. And if we look closely at this particular move or motion, there seems to be quite a lot of similarity to the moves and motions displayed in the ...

After a last minute loco shuffle, 4532 finds itself leading 1KV2 north out of Cootamundra at Jindalee North.
Overnight 4911, 4917, 4532, 602 and CLP12 departed Victoria with a load of grain from Birchip for Allied Pinnacle at Maldon. At Cootamundra 602 was dropped off, and the remaining locos subsequently remarshalled and serviced to then form this combo with 4917, 4911 and CLP12 also coming along for the ride, for the all day trip up the Main South Line.

In this video, I dabbled in shuffle dancing. I received this HUD as a gift from the lovely Manu, and I tried to put it all into a nice video. I didn't quite succeed; the lyrics say we're dancing at night, but it's daytime. HAHA* I chose the club "Dance Island." At that time of day, the club was almost empty, and I just loved the dance floor.^^ As always, I apologize for any translation errors in the lyrics and my poor video editing; I'm still learning. Enjoy the video.
