Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The Father Of Our Nation.

shortened as Sheikh Mujib or just Mujib, was a Bangladeshi politician and statesman. He is called the "Father of the Nation" in Bangladesh. He served as the first President of Bangladesh and later as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh from 17 April 1971 until his assassination on 15 August 1975.

This beautiful mosque is on the western side of NH 47 near Karunagappally junction. It is modelled on Taj Mahal, Agra - a mix of persian, central asian and Moghul architecture.

The domes and minarets give perfect symmetry and heirarchy. The archway is decorated with calligraphy of Quranic verses.

 

The mosque also has mosoleum of Islamic saints.

In 1971, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman dreamt of an independent Bangladesh. The country beleived in his dreams, and 30 million people sacrificed their life to bring independence, and Sheikh Mujibur Rahman went on to become the father of the nation.

 

In 2011, the general people dream to lead a life of peace and happiness. With a massive population of 160 million, they just need to beleive in themselves and voice out their opinion and make a movement towards the country we want.

Today is Bangladesh's 41st Victory Day. It was 16th December 1971 when Bangladesh snatched victory from Pakistan after 9 months of gruelsome war.

Construction of the mosque started in 1603 and was finished in 1619. It was built by the chief architect Shaykh Bahai, during the reign of Shah Abbas I of Persia. On the advice of Arthur Upham Pope, Reza Shah Pahlavi ordered the mosque rebuilt and repaired in the 1920s.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (Arabic :جامع الشيخ زايد الكبير) is located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque was initiated by the late President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. His final resting place is located on the grounds beside the same mosque.

As the country’s grand mosque, it is the key place of worship for Friday gathering and Eid prayers. It is the largest mosque in the UAE and numbers during Eid can be more than forty thousand people.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center (SZGMC) offices are located in the east minarets. SZGMC manages the day to day operations, as a place of worship and Friday gathering and also a center of learning and discovery through its educational cultural activities and visitor programs.

The Sheikh Chooli Minaret in Erbil was built between 1190 and 1232.

Abusa'id Abolkhayr or Abū Saʿīd Abū'l-Khayr (December 7, 967 - January 12, 1049), also known as Sheikh Abusaeid or Abu Sa'eed, was a famous Persian Sufi and poet who contributed extensively to the evolution of Sufi tradition.

The Sheikh Zayed Mosque, located in the northern Gaza Strip, is one of the most prominent modern religious and architectural landmarks in the area. It was built in 2007 with generous funding from the United Arab Emirates as part of humanitarian and development support for the people of Gaza.

The mosque features elegant Islamic architecture, including a large central dome and towering minarets, and is considered one of the largest mosques in northern Gaza in terms of space and capacity.

It serves as a vital religious and cultural center and symbolizes the deep fraternal ties between the Palestinian and Emirati peoples.
