Another in a series of recent pieces inspired by a comment made by Skagitrenee, suggesting that I might try my hand at a more monochromatic approach. While this isn't as monochrome as it could be, this, and the others in this series, is markedly "toned down" from my usual explosion of colour.
Several Pano-Sabotage pieces layered and blurred, built up in "glazes" or "washes" to created the final effect.

Common Brushtail Possum (Trichosurus vulpecula)
I think this is the same Mama Possum that spent some time in our Pittosporum Tree a few times earlier this year. She stayed in this spot for about 6 hours this morning.
Ending this set of canal canoe sunset images, I want to include our dog that we always bring. She often focuses on the shoreline where we put in.
She and the other, both 3 year olds. I don't know how old the dog is. This is the younger sister to the pink two-dogger. She already knows well how to lean into the turns.
Why a Cars tune?,.... Because that was what was playing on my iPod when i set my sights on her...
and she gives me a reason for feeling more than alright :) It was magical.....
She stood for a long moment watching the water, as if waiting for something to emerge from the silence beneath the arches.
The concrete above her repeated itself again and again, a quiet tunnel of light and shadow, while the river moved slowly past. For a moment the world felt ordered—lines, reflections, and a solitary figure standing at the center of it all.
Some places ask nothing of us except that we pause long enough to notice them.
She moves through shadows in silk and lace, with secrets on her lips and a drink in her hand. Careful—tonight, not everything is as it seems 🍸🌒

Massive art piece adorns Highway 1 through North Vancouver
Colours inspired by Lynn Valley flora and fauna. [With its 623 panels it is probably the largest single piece of public art on the North Shore. Highway 1 connects Metro Vancouver to the North Shore, the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal and Highway 99. ].
Hwy Noise Barrier Art Project
Artist Rebecca Bayer's Merge is a 366-metre-long shock of colour stretching along Highway 1 between Mountain Highway and Fern Street. It is one of the final pieces of the $200-million Lower Lynn Improvement Project, intended to shield the Inter River neighbourhood from highway noise.
Bayer chose the 20 different colours specifically because they are found in the flora, fauna and landmarks from the Lynn Valley area. Bayer consulted with the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre to match colours with individual species like the red-backed salamander, Pacific chorus frog and licorice fern. Last week, I asked Luna to marry me in the middle of a pose store, of all places.
She said yes, and I couldn't be happier.

Il terzo giorno a Bridgetown, di primo mattino, arriva un taxi dell'agenzia d'appoggio alla nave e mi conduce al porto. zona banchine per navi da crociera. La vedo ed è amore a prima vista, gran voglia di scattarle subito una foto, ma sarebbe indelicato, così salgo a bordo, mi presento al Primo Ufficiale che dovrò sostituire e disbrigo tutte le pratiche, prendendo anche conoscenza della nave che non conoscevo (mia prima volta a bordo di un veliero) Solo verso il tramonto mi prendo 5 minuti per scendere a terra e immortalarla. I velieri sono più belli in mare aperto, con le vele spiegate e gonfie di vento. Ormeggiate in banchina, come anche ancorate in rada, le vele sono raccolte e quasi invisibili. Ma io la guardo e il cuore mi batte più forte
On the third day in Bridgetown, early in the morning, a person from the ship's support agency arrives and takes me to the port. dock area for cruise ships. As I see her it's love at first sight, I really want to take a photo right away, but it would be indelicate, so I get on board, introduce myself to the Chief Officer who I will have to replace and take care of all the paperwork, also getting to know the ship that I didn't know (my first time on board a sailing ship) Only towards sunset I can take 5 minutes to go ashore and immortalise her. Sailing ships are more beautiful in the open sea, with their sails unfurled and billowing in the wind. Moored at the quay, as well as anchored in the harbor, the sails are gathered up and almost invisible. But I look at her and my heart beats faster
The False Garden Mantis I recently found in my potted Chrysanthemum is still there and came out yesterday as I was watering my plant. She then posed gracefully for me :)
I have another yellow Chrysanthemum in my flower bed and, today, found another, younger Mantis among the flowers but she quickly hid in the foliage when she saw me :( /
La Mante Religieuse que j'ai decouverte recemment dans mon Chrysantheme en pot s'y trouve toujours. Elle est sortie hier, alors que j'arrosais ma plante et a pris la pose fort gracieusement :)
J'ai un autre Chrysantheme jaune dans mon parterre de fleurs et aujourd'hui j'y ai trouve une autre Mante Religieuse, plus jeune et plus peureuse, qui s'est empressee de se cacher dans le feuillage lorsqu'elle m'a vue !

Rowardennan is a small village on the east shore of Loch Lomond, Scotland. Unfortunately 5 minutes after arriving in the car the wind, then the snow arrived to greet us.......
