A pencil sharpener (also referred to as a parer or topper in Ireland) is a device for sharpening a pencil's writing point by shaving away its worn surface. Pencil sharpeners may be operated manually or by an electric motor.

Made in germany by F.W.Faber. Not sure of the date. 60's perhaps?

as part of my design an accessory was added,a diamond coated steel, now most bush crafters have a fire strike on their sheath, but how often do they get used? i allways carry a lighter but never a sharpener for my knife,so i added this, the handle is made from the same wood as the scales on the knife,i turned it using a pillar drill and some treaded bar!
