Pencil sharpener in the shape of a car, marked 'Foreign'. I'm not sure about the age of this, but it's almost identical to another which is marked 'Germany' and could be pre-Second World War.

This is a small item, overall length approx. 44mm.

The impression on the tin top Mintex Halo BBA suggests this is a promotional item, so that may be the reason for disguising its origins. I have information suggesting this brand of brake linings was used by the R.A.F. during the Second World War.

It's a very cool design pencil sharpener I ever seen!!!

A couple of weeks ago, noting that the 59 cent 35 year old pencil sharpener was taking a long time to sharpen pencils, I decided to get a new, modern one.

The new one does sharpen pencils much faster, but very unevenly. After several dozen turns, the old sharpener gives me a beautiful, even point!

Wonder if I can find another on like the one on the left?

Trying out AV mode a little...it came out pretty cool I think.....what about you?

Yes, it's another color/bw smackdown.

It's what happens when you're bored at work. You start going all artsy-fartsy with pencil sharpeners and such.

Designed to keep your straight edge or serrated edge kitchen knives in prime condition, the Straight & Serrated Edge Pull-Thru Knife Sharpener offers two stages of sharpening, fine and extra fine. Both stages use triangular-shaped ceramic stones with pre-set angles to finely hone your knife's blade to razor sharpness. An ergonomically designed, soft grip handle and non-slip rubber feet ensure comfort and steadiness when sharpening.
