One of the five Southwest 737s with Shark Week nose art heads to the gate at San Francisco International Airport.

This aircraft was ordered by Midway Airlines as N370ML, but wasn't taken up; she then flew for Virgin Blue as VH-VBR before being sold and leased to Southwest in 2010.

Toys. Yes, Wally would be thankful for toys. He just loves tearing them up and taking all the stuffing out. This shot shows the calm before the storm. The shark toy was actually one of his presents from his birthday in August, but we just gave it to him now. It's time to give payback to the shark. I'm referring to the photo that was taken on August 12. www.flickr.com/photos/marc_dalangin/9498311968/

Jaws Movie Poster - UPDATED

I tweaked the top of the 'W' and replaced the two red 2x2 tiles with two red 1x3 tiles, to smooth out the top of the 'W'. After some feedback about the nose, I made Bruce the Shark one brick deeper, this meant that the nose now no longer juts out over his top lip.

Not only did she do the baby shark dance for us she also was super thrilled with her shadow of her fin hat :D

She's 20 months today and just so much fun - we swam together today, jumped off the side of the pool together and floated with her little raft while kicking all over the pool - best little shark ever ;D

For skipthefrogman's "Shark Week"!

End of Week Torture - So I saw this adorable recipe on Pinterest and thought that looks easy and fun - well first of all it's not that easy when they don't give you proper ingredients, so your set up to fail and I must say we all got a great laugh over this too so even though they don't look a thing like the picture or taste great either I know what went wrong!!!

First off they said use can frosting and add food coloring and drizzle over top - Well that was wrong - this should have been candy melts (like Wilton's) so you have the correct consistency for drizzling as frosting even when heated won't drizzle or cover the cake - then with this type of frosting it won't set up in the fridge for 15 minutes like they said so it stuck to everything!!!! (it could have been in fridge for 3 years and still won't set up!)

Second the Oreo cookie - well have you ever tried to simply slice one in half - good luck with that LOL

Third I couldn't find fruit roll ups to save my life (guess I need to shop at the liquor store since they have a large candy selection) So I used frosting gel and it worked till the room temperature decided to make them look like vampires lol

Fourth the chocolate chips are to large they should have said miniature chips

And lastly the teeth well forget those teeth that should have been royal frosting not regular frosting cause same problem melty mess all over - and I didn't even bother to melt the chocolate for gills cause by this point it didn't even matter - oh and the sticks well they just flopped all over they are there for looks in the picture only - if you try and pick up it will be in your lap LOL (hence you need the Candy Melts instead of frosting!!!)

Lesson for the day - We all got a really big laugh out of this and so I hope it brightens your day as well :D

One of my favorite stories in MANEATERS: KILLER SHARKS IN MEN'S ADVENTURE MAGAZINES, which I co-edited with Wyatt Doyle, is this one about a man who was saved from sharks by dolphins. Artwork by Ken Barr. MANEATERS reprints classic shark stories from vintage men's adventure magazines, illuminated with commentary by modern shark experts on what the stories got wrong -- or right -- about shark behavior. It's available on Amazon worldwide or via my MensPulpMags[dot]com bookstore.

Well I guess you can tell by this picture that we didn't go ballooning. I'm totally bummed but it started raining and lift off was cancelled. I'm hoping we can go this weekend *fingers crossed*.

All is not lost, though. It is Shark Week after all and last night Ultimate Air Jaws was on. What is that you ask? An awesomely phenomenal sight of great white sharks 'breaching' (or jumping) full body out of the water.

This shot is also my first entry in the Monthly Scavenger Hunt Group, for the theme 'Jaws'.

I just watched my first episode of the American version of "The Office" this week and surprisingly, it made me belly laugh. I thought for sure the American version would be unfunny... like so many of the shows that we bring over here and destroy. Dwight's speech at the salesman convention last week with nonsensical arm-waving and banging of the podium nearly made me cry. For this scene alone, I both give Rainn Wilson props and forgive him for the brief hiccup in time when he helped my favorite tv show jump the shark....yes, you Arthur.
