One of the five Southwest 737s with Shark Week nose art heads to the gate at San Francisco International Airport.
This aircraft was ordered by Midway Airlines as N370ML, but wasn't taken up; she then flew for Virgin Blue as VH-VBR before being sold and leased to Southwest in 2010.
A Shark Week post... Here are a couple of pages from our book MANEATERS: KILLER SHARKS IN MEN'S ADVENTURE MAGAZINES. It features classic MAM shark stories, awesome full color artwork like this art by the great Mort Kunstler, and commentary from shark experts about what the stories got wrong. Available on Amazon worldwide and via my MensPulpMags[dot]com site.

We are ready for the start of Shark Week. It's one of our favorite summer events. Rose says to bring on the popcorn!
You can read more about Rose at TalesAndTails.com.
It's been another long week, and Stormtrooper Bruce wants to prove to the guys that, yes, it's safe to enjoy Movie Night once again! And although STB promises no more shenanigans, at least for a while, the guys know it's only a matter of time.
TK-432: Wow! This is awesome! I lovelovelove breakfast for dinner!
TK-1110: After a month of Christmas in July, I wasn't sure what to expect. But this is a great way to kick off a new month. Except I think you're gonna need a bigger buffet at the rate we're going.
STB: I have to admit, I've been looking forward to this! Easy peasy and totally delicious, even the fruit tray - which you two better sample!
TK-432: Dude! Fruit? You know we don't like healthy food. I mean, lookit my plate!
TK-1110: Um, your plate? What about all that milk your drinking - what's up with that?
TK-432: Sorry, but I just love milk mustaches, even strawberry ones. This breakfast for dinner is amazing, I can't wait to see what we're having for breakfast!
STB: Milk mustaches? What are you, three? Anyway, the plan is breakfast for dinner, and cold pizza for breakfast! How's that sound?
TK-432: Um, about that... you DO know that's not a shark guarding the pizza box, right?
STB: Um, about that, it's the best I do at the last minute. It's called Plan B. And if you must know, his name is Mr. Jaws. So, that kinda works, right?
TK-1110: Works for me. I'll just stay put, enjoy my breakfast and cross my fingers you don't hide him and expect us to find him before the night is over.

Toys. Yes, Wally would be thankful for toys. He just loves tearing them up and taking all the stuffing out. This shot shows the calm before the storm. The shark toy was actually one of his presents from his birthday in August, but we just gave it to him now. It's time to give payback to the shark. I'm referring to the photo that was taken on August 12. www.flickr.com/photos/marc_dalangin/9498311968/

Jaws Movie Poster - UPDATED
I tweaked the top of the 'W' and replaced the two red 2x2 tiles with two red 1x3 tiles, to smooth out the top of the 'W'. After some feedback about the nose, I made Bruce the Shark one brick deeper, this meant that the nose now no longer juts out over his top lip.

My Shark Week blog post (bit.ly/SharkWeekMPM) notes that many shark attack stories reprinted in our book MANEATERS are pure fiction. But some, like the one from VALOR, are true. The two downed airmen in the story actually did fight off sharks with their fists for 22 hours before they were rescued.
Not only did she do the baby shark dance for us she also was super thrilled with her shadow of her fin hat :D
She's 20 months today and just so much fun - we swam together today, jumped off the side of the pool together and floated with her little raft while kicking all over the pool - best little shark ever ;D
