Third of the series - CONTACT

(This one - a Shark Week special :)

We all need a little motivation at times.

I prefer mine in the form of a 30 Rock quote from an old guy smoking a pipe.

Another week, another adventure for Stormtrooper Bruce who has been tasked with watching Palpatine’s nephew while his parents are away looking for a suitable planet to live on. Keeping things interesting has been a challenge for STB, some days being more challenging than others.

STB: You know what Johnny Quest? This little cave of yours could use an extendable charm, if you know what I mean. Yes, you’ve covered the basics with food and shelter, but it’s definitely a one Trooper cave.

JQ: Shhh! Be quiet Unka Dude, I mean Hadji, or those animals surrounding us might find us and gobble us up! Plus, I can’t hear what Sheriff Brodie is saying.

STB: He’s probably saying, “You’re gonna need a bigger cave.” We’ve watched this movie all. week. long. You know the dialogue by heart.

JQ: I know, but we still need to be quiet, and use our inside voices. I don’t wanna be gator food!

STB: Pretty sure Miss Sith will come to your rescue before that happens. Besides, you probably don’t taste like chicken so the gator wouldn’t eat much anyway.

JQ: You’re so funny! Oh, here comes the scary part. Shhhh!

STB: It’s all pretty scary, Johnny. The movie, this cave, your wild, vicious, blood thirsty animals, these past few months, your Unka Pappy, my armor jabbing me in places I’d forgotten about, the movie, Christmas in July, did I say the movie…

JQ: OK, that’s it Unka Hadji, we’ve got to start this movie over again! You keep talking during the bestest parts. This is worse than waking up in a blender.

STB: Johnny, look! No one is driving this blender! Maybe we need to take a snack break before we crash and burn.

JQ: Huh? I have NO idea what you’re talking about. I think someone needs a nap accause he’s talking all goofy again. That, or maybe a coffee break? Yeah, that’s the ticket. That always helps me.

STB: Me talking goofy? YOU started it! Wait, I’m the adult here. Or am I? When will this madness end?

JQ: Oh, Unka Dude, I don’t ever want it to end! I love it here! We always have SO much fun! Oh, but I still want to open those gifts next week! Most definettilies!

28/365 I missed Shark Week by several weeks so lets pretend it's Shark Month and that my photo for #legoplankingthursday on Instagram was posted just in the nick of time

I had a bug to share some vacation pics.

I know what your thinking..."I'm crazy!"

I couldn't help myself it was Shark week on Discovery Channel and I was in the Bahamas. They always make it look so safe!.

Wonka isn't so sure about going into this diving cage! That shark looks a bit to curious :D

Day 6 Shark Week - Caged

So a little back story - my hubby and I made the cage out of PVC pipe - we actually just set it here to see how it would look cause I thought I would paint the entire thing silver and my new shark float actually zipped in from the other side of the pool to see what I was up to and he kept swimming around her - it was so funny and I figured I really don't need to paint the cage cause well it looks like the kind they really use - so sometimes your plans don't work out but your ideas just swim up to you LOL

Also about 2 hours later the entire thing fell apart due to our heat wave so I would have totally wasted my time painting :D

Another souvenir that we bought for Wally. It's a shark hat from SeaWorld! LOL. I thought it's hilarious, but Wally doesn't think so.

"Shark Week" arrives from Kansas City.

For 52 Weeks for Dogs --29/52

Every year, we look forward to Shark Week and it's finally here! Even though we live too far from the oceans to ever see a shark here, it can be fun to imagine it. Rose says that she'll humor me, but if we do run into a shark, I'm on my own. We'll stick to staying in the boat to be on the safe side. For now, we just have to fend off the landshark known as Fable!

You can read more about Rose at TalesAndTails.com.

Thought I'd post this today in honor of Shark Week.

I've always had an affinity for sharks. It stemmed from watching Jaws for the first at a very impressionable age.

While I have friends who love nothing more than to come face to face with these magnificent creatures ( www.flickr.com/photos/jenfu/4198381874/ ) I prefer to admire them from the distance and safety of bullet proof glass.

This was taken at the Sydney Aquarium during our Australian Adventure. The lighting in this area created a purple-ish color on the sharks which (although not at all natural ) looked really cool.

Thanks for stopping by - now everyone, SWIM AWAY!!!!

This evening was the first appearance of Shark Week at Laudy. While she's been doing MCO and TPA regularly, seems they'd forgotten us.
