I took this photograph off of my TV set, while watching Shark Week, all while watching the festivities from my livingroom.
I love these fireworks, especially this shark firework in the sky.
I decided to make this into an oil painting by using Snap Art 2 software, from Alienskin software.
I love the program because it does such a great job, and since we have fireworks going off in the sky and, this one in the shape of a Shark because of Shark Week, I used a wavy type look to make it look more like it was taken under water.
I hope you all like it.
I used the following programs to get this final look: Adobe PS CS5, Adobe Lightroom 3, and finally Snap Art 2 from Alienskin software.
I could have made the corners more brighter, but I really wanted the main focus to be on the fireworks Shark.

This past week fraught with a rollercoaster of emotion: We got a chest freezer to put most of the food we grow in our garden in, which has truly thrilled us; family drama; work drama for The Husband; Henry taking one step closer to being potty trained; losing more weight; Henry's first serious fever and trip to the emergency room, and my body agreeing to take Carrie to the prom.
I believe I would like to be numb briefly.
Today is National Creamsicle day and since Disney doen't sell them, time for the secret menu at Starbucks ;D Yup Orange Creamsicle Yummy. Minnie enjoyed sharing it with Figaro too and she also wanted to be a part of Shark week, so Sharky hat Disney version LOL
Soooooo how many surgeries have I had on this stupid toe - I've lost count but since it's shark week I guess I will take advantage of it!!! (This was yesterday morning in Dr. office)

South Carolina Aquarium hosts the Shark, Rattle and Roll fundraiser party during Shark Week

It's been a couple years, but the shark is back! The Discovery Channel HQ in Silver Spring, MD, likes to put a giant inflatable shark "though" their building In celebration of Shark Week. I pass it on my metro commute to and from work every morning.
July 28, 2010: A massive Great White Shark has invaded downtown Silver Spring, MD.....or so it appears. This is the second time in four years that the Discovery Channel is promoting Shark Week by erecting a three-story high, inflatable shark on the facade of its headquarters. The float is 446 feet long, and attached to all four sides of the building. The shark's name is "Chompie". Chompie's head is facing the Silver Spring Metro station, so when you get off the Metro you will see Chompie's business end and depending were you are, you will see 0 or 1 or both of his Pectoral (side) Fins. His tail is hanging over Georgia Ave. Finally his Dorsal (top) Fin was atop the building.* Chompie will only be afloat until the 1st week of August. Shark Week begins August 1 The Discovery Communications building is located at 1 Discovery Place, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
*Update: It turns out the Chompie's Dorsal (top) fin broke during the violent storms that passed through the Washington D.C. Metro area on Sunday July 25, 2010. It has been sent out for repair :). Thanks to the Discovery Communications for taking me go up to roof for a different perspectiveon Chompie :) [07282010-076-C.PS.S5IS]
