This is the shadow effect I am hoping to achieve with this sculpture

Week #32 ~ Shadow effect - shoot through a tea strainer or similar

Catching up with challenges (shot in the week but not posted)

I made the focal images by stamping Hero Arts CG170 Wildflower Garden onto white cardstock. First, I stamped it using a Tsukineko Memento Dew Drop dye ink in Desert Sand. Then I stamped over top of that using a Tsukineko VersaMagic Dew Drop pigment ink in Purple Hydrangea. The softer tan color creates a "shadow effect."

I used a 1 1/2" circle punch to cut the two pieces from the larger stamped image. Then I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Large Pinking Circles to cut two mattes from kraft cardstock. I attached the focal pieces to the mattes, and then adhered them to the card base with foam for dimension.

The card base is made from kraft and lavender cardstock. I stamped Impression Obsession CC018-Cover a Card Greenery on each, using a Tsukineko Memento Dew Drop dye ink in Sweet Plum. I used a Fiskars apron lace border punch to cut "lace" from white cardstock. And I used kraft-colored embroidery floss to tie a bow around the lavender piece.

I really like the Impression Obsession Greenery stamp. It is a new one that I've been wanting to ink up and I can tell it will be a favorite for me!

Thanks for looking! :-)

It's 8:12.

The dark halos above the summits are shadow effects occuring because the sun is still lower than the mountains.

For half an hour, I enjoyed the view with a friendly gentleman from Troyes (a town 90 miles east of Paris).
