Macro Mondays theme Shadow

Exploring shadows and awesome structures in Nature.

Approx 5cm leaf section and shadow.

Happy Macro Monday! 😊

yesterday was beautiful, there had been quite a heavy frost and the garden felt very magical. Some of the smaller trees still have many of their leaves on. This tree was peeping over a hedge. I took 2 photos, one deliberately out of the focus, the other out of focus too except that was not on purpose, when I put them together this strange effect appeared, as if the tree were in a studio, with a sort of shadow effect. It somehow reminds me of a fountain

21h55, les "jeunes" quittent le miroir les photographes se mettent en place

Petite pose longue (1,1 sec) mais quand même des pieds "furtifs" !!!

This river-tumbled chunk of petrified wood has the best shadow-effect I have ever seen in petrified wood. I may have to set up a short digital-video clip and offer that view, as soon as I figure out how to do it. It has good color and a very tight-wavy-grain, like a good walnut, or maple. I collected this one near Cox's Fishing Camp, south of Zapata, Texas, along an old shoreline of Falcon Lake, about five years ago.
