Recently, I've really gotten into the works of Bill Brandt. While I don't intend to make a career of imitating him...I was inspired to try some different things with posing to play with the shadows and create something different (for me). My younger daughter here helped me out with this one. Hope you enjoy.
Strong shadows, golden light and textures galore. I waited around for someone to enter this scene, but once they did I decided I actually preferred this photo as an urban landscape. This is the architecture on the outside of the Ben Youssef Mosque in Marrakesh.

Shadows on Lake Gnarpurt in Victoria not far from Camperdown, huge skies and amazing views of two lakes on either side of the road, both low with amazing shadows and old decayed fences sticking from the lake bed.
ODC - Long Shadow
You don't need sunlight to create a long shadow you could use the streetlight and the farther you are from the light the longer the shadow gets but in my case i used flashlight to create my long shadow upward to make my figurine a massive size! To create this massive size the closer your light to the subject the bigger your shadow gets.
... which has to be my all-time favourite bike! I remember gunning it (I blush) up a motorway one day and heard a low thoom thoom sound ... when a Black Shadow tore past ... must have been doing nearly a ton! Having stopped at a motorway service station I noticed the Black Shadow at the pumps as well ... the rider had just dismounted and taken his crash hat off ... to show a mass of snowy hair ... he said he'd always wanted one and now he'd retired he had time for one ... power to the elbow, I say!
Also at Helmingham's Steam and Classic weekend. There were several classic bikes on show ... more of which later!
Even from the shadows this great white egret's beautiful white plumage stands out. He poses above the duckweed in the pond along Alligator Alley trail at Circle B Bar Reserve.

I got to hang out with my best friend yesturday. I haven't seen her in a while. We went to see our friends band Solia Tera. While we were on our way it rained and there was an actual rainbow that bowed lol. So I had to take a picture. Afterwards I told her to get in the puddle and she was very confused lol, but she caught on and we had fun. <3
