I heard the city and Athens got into a dispute and in return, Athens shut down both yards they had there and turned this one into a bin refurbishment shop in retaliation. Apparently the bins that come here are real nasty so residents get upset with the smell.

It was basically to Glasgow spec and was resting at Parkhouse stance in Ardrossan when snapped. On disposal it passed to Rennie's of Dumfermline, then saw further service with Canavan of Croy, East Yorkshire and OK Motor Services.

OUC37R was a Leyland Fleetline FE30ALR / MCW H44/24D purchased new by London Transport as their DMS2037 in November 1976. It passed to A1 Service member JC Stewart in October 1984, and is seen loading at Irvine Cross. It passed to Tame Valley Travel of Digbeth (2037) in October 1991, and was loaned to Hallamshire Bus of Kilnhurst at the end of 1994. It returned to Tame Valley and was sold with the business to West Midlands Travel in January 1995. It was then used by local fire and rescue service, possibly for training exercises until sale to Wigley of Carlton (dealer) for scrap in July 1995.
