Members of the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, their families and residents of Gloucestershire attended a ceremony at the Gloucester Cathedral March 21 to welcome home all those who deployed to Afghanistan from January 2011 to January 2012.
The service, which happened to be on the same day when the Gloucester Regiment was awarded their back badge for a victorious battle against overwhelming odds against French soldiers in Egypt, served to recognize all the efforts of the service members and their families throughout the last year.

Oregon National Guard service members train for wildland firefighting duty at the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) in Salem, Oregon, August 2, 2018. Nearly 200 Citizen-Soldiers were called-up for the second iteration of Oregon National Guard personnel to help support the efforts of wildland firefighters around the state. 200 members of the Guard were previously trained in July at Camp Rilea near Warrenton, Oregon, and were dispatched to the Garner Complex Fire. The “red card” training certification provided by DPSST is the same training required of all public and private wildland firefighters. It covers a wide variety of topics including safety considerations, deploying fire shelters, hand tool work, hoses, how to assess and mitigate hot spots, protecting structures and understanding fire behavior. The logistics behind buying a vending machine business are much different than that of a brick-and-mortar one. Starting a vending machine business is low-risk. There is no need to scout out one fixed location to run your business, as vending machines are placed in businesses, schools, malls, and many other locations that are already up-and-running.
Before launching your vending machine business, your efforts are focused on finding locations with high traffic. You can research tons of locations and determine which are the most successful, high trafficked locations.
Also, the vending machine itself is mobile, so if you aren’t getting the results you want, you can simply move the machine somewhere else for less than $200.
