Unlike the few other Warren puzzles that have passed through my hands, this box bears no title for what is presumably a painting. An online search quickly identified the picture as Waiting for the Ferry by Edward Lamson Henry with an online seller claiming that this undated puzzle is from 1993, which considering the artwork on the box seems a generation later than I would have expected.
According to statements on the long sides of the box, the Warren piece shapes with triangular pegs and holes and non-interlocking edges is known as the “jaggady-jag cut”.
Built largely by colour and finished with the area of sky, which in hindsight perhaps should have been built first, but I had trouble picking out the horizon pieces and putting them together. Ultimately easier to build this upwards from underneath.
