Simply beautiful this late afternoon. Eighteen degrees and a very gentle breeze. It was a fine summer this year and so far the autumn has felt like summer too.
A girl driving by me in her old car and hipster hat on eternal El Cajon Blvd. in the pacific California city of San Diego, which is about 2 hours south of me as the car drives.
I posted a couple of photos of some very unusual flowers in bud which I had never seen before.
Well, when I went past the garden back in October, I actually did a double take as this is how the flowers turned out.
Looking at them now, I think they could be a Protea, if I am wrong let me know!!!
This time I didn't slide down the bank to photograph these. I went and knocked on their front door.
We are a trusting lot in our forest because there was no one home but the keys were in the front door!!
Had a jolly good wander round the garden!!!!
...well, ta da!
I've moved into a new camera, a lovely digital slr~
just playing for now, thank goodness I have such beautiful test subjects!
You can't see it, but I'm looking right at the bus; it arrived just as the camera's timer went off. I had to quickly yank the camera from the top of the (I am embarrassed to admit) garbage can where I had it propped, toss it into my bag & board. This was a one shot deal...
