The Global Humidity Sensor Market size is expected to reach $1.6 billion by 2025, rising at a market growth of 8.2% CAGR during the forecast period.
A humidity sensor or hygrometer can sense, measure, and record the air temperature and moisture present in the atmosphere. Humidity sensors are built of two metal plates and a non-conductive polymer film which is placed between the plates. The non-conductive polymer film absorbs air moisture and changes the current voltage between the two plates. Such voltage adjustments are converted into accurate digital readings. Humidity sensors are categorized into relative humidity sensors and absolute humidity (A.H) sensors. The most common types of units used to measure humidity are parts per million (PPM), dew or frost point (DF/PT), and relative humidity. These sensors are used in a range of applications such as HVAC systems, textiles, food processing, medical, weather stations, and automotive industries.
Humidity sensors can, with high accuracy, sense the levels of moisture in the air in real time. The utilization of these sensors is escalating in moisture-sensitive industries like food & beverages, healthcare, and textiles. This is a critical factor which can contribute towards the exponential growth of the market. Apart from this, government regulations in developed economies like North America and Europe have mandated the deployment of these sensors in industries like printing, food processing, and textile. For instance, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) have made the adoption of these sensors mandatory in the food & beverage industry. The reason being, higher levels of moisture can lead to contamination and harm the food quality. Another prominent factor that can stimulate market growth is the high demand for contactless sensors. This demand is associated with the potentially hazardous environments like places exposed to radiations.

The original design used batteries and a manually operated switch to illuminate the LEDs. Occasionally the batteries were too discharged to drive the LED strings well, so the design was changed to run off a 12V mains supply.
In order to not run all the time through the day the above circuit was made to replace the switch.
R6 is a light dependent resistor and its resistance value varies with illumination. In daylight it has a low resistance, and in darkness it is high resistance.
The pot allowed some trimming for when dawn/dusk are detected. Once the daylight gets below a certain level the voltage on the base of Q2 has risen enough to turn the transistor on - which then turns on Q1. Q1 supplies 12V power to the LED board.
To prevent some oscillation of on/off states around dusk and dawn R4 provides a small amount of positive feedback to generate some hysteresis.
Overview
D202X is 2 elements PIR sensor, with small detection angle. Mainly used for toys and other small angle requirement products.
PIR sensor sense the motion object, always used to detet the human. There is a detect rang for the PIR sensor. When a people move in or out of the detect rang, the PIR sensor will be triggered. PIR sensor are low-power, small, easy to used. For this reason it can be used for the alarm system and lighting control. PIR sensor also named passive infrared, Pyroelectric or IR motion sensor.
Features
1.Excellent S/N ratio
2.Low consumption
3.Slight movement can be detectable
Applications
1.Toys
2.Wireless security sensors
3.Security cameras
4.Security alarm system
FAQ
1. What can trigger a PIR sensor?
The first cause of PIR false alarms is low or unstable voltage at the detector. Test to make sure the voltage at each PIR is above 13VDC and stable. The second cause of false alarms is sudden infrared movement / heat changes in view of the detector.
2. Do PIR sensors work in the dark?
Yes, motion sensors work in the dark. The way that a motion sensor detects movement has nothing to do with how light or dark it is in the immediate area. Since infrared energy is present and can be detected regardless of the amount of light in the environment, a PIR motion sensor will work just fine in the dark.
