or, i have a short attention span. i will often get bored of my hobbies. I played sudoku obsessively for a month last year. Now I don't play at all really. I really wanted to try painting a few years ago, so I did all my research, bought some supplies, planned out some projects. I haven't touched the stuff yet.
this alone is proof that I adore photography. 6 months of taking at least one shot every day (and usually hundreds more), and I have yet to get sick of it, get bored, or want to quit.

My eldest boy, Gromit, has gone blind suddenly, so I took him to the vet and was told he has a brain tumor. The doctor told me I less than 30 days to make a decision. Seeing his decline, on a daily basis, is very heart wrenching and painful. I really hate to make this decision but I have to plan on putting the boy to rest but I cannot let his quality of life degrade anymore.

I was trying to think of something different to do for tonight's shots but after a day of work and a long evening of packing up household goods, I just did not have the energy to be creative and unique. Hopefully, I will more time and energy to commit to you my photos.
The following two paragraphs appeared above this desk and typewriter for all visitors to read who were fortunate enough to be inside the New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe enjoying the Marsden Hartley exhibit:
Marsden Hartley traveled widely, taking in the people, cities, and culture of places like New York, Berlin, Paris, Bermuda, and Santa Fe. During his travels, Hartley frequently wrote letters to friends and family about his experiences. In the early twentieth century, writing a letter meant picking up a pen or pencil, or even sitting down at a typewriter, such as the one in front of you. Take a sheet of paper from the top drawer of the desk and write a letter about a place or experience you would like to share. Feel free to take your letter and send it to someone or leave it in the tray to share with other museum visitors.
If you have never used a typewriter before, in some ways it works like a modern keyboard, but in other ways it is very different. Each sheet of paper must be loaded one at a time. The keys, when pressed down, travel much farther and each letter feels like a deliberate act. Take a seat at the desk and spend some time with the act of typing and carefully crafting a letter full of meaning!

Been thinking about the impact and power clothes hold in this society... and how it can define one's gender to a degree. It almost seems kinda silly.
Although I think this generation is the most androgynous generation so far. It's quite exciting.
It's strange though, that female bodied people can get away with SO much. I mean female bodied people can basically go out in binders, wear ties, totally masculine clothes and get seen either as butch, boy, or super sexy - depending on the person who is admiring/looking at said person. But overall nobody will go OMG WHAT THE HELL. Yet male bodied people have such a shitty deal, most can't just strut their stuff in some sexy dress without having some people look at them funny. It's a real shame...I mean I know people who will point and be like wow that guy is in a kilt! If they think that's crazy, hah what would they say if they saw some hot guy totally showing what he got in a real sexy black number? Or those people who still make fun of "metrosexuals" it's like dude, they like to look good, get over it. It's kinda sad that it's socially unacceptable for a guy to be like hey, today I wanna wear a super cute skirt and blouse... but it's generally socially acceptable for a girl to be like hey, today I wanna wear a totally snazzy suit.
What a fucking rip off... we, as a society, desperately need to move the fuck on. It's just clothes, we all should be able to express ourselves in any way, never mind what gender [if any] we are.
This is where I stop and thank everyone who is stepping outside of the gender box and expressing themselves however the hell they want, wearing whatever they want, even if some people give them a hard time. I'm proud of us all <3
