This is one of our favorite trails to walk in the spring to see the woodland wildflowers. It can be fun in the fall too. Many of the trees here have lost their leaves, but the oaks are still putting on a golden show.
A very cold, windy start to my not so little buddy's day.
Enjoying his morning treat on our new backyard deck.

Hand-thrown pottery vase opening measures less than 3cm across. A friend in Alaska has a talent for pottery. The lower part of the base has hues of lovely blues.
Fiddled with this a bit. Sorry, Amanda.

If instead of a gem, or even a flower,
we should cast the gift of a loving thought
into the heart of a friend, that would be
giving as the angels give.

Actually they make no such lens as l have described. But l sometimes do the unorthodox, like using my f1.8 Sony 85mm optical lens in conjuntion with the camera's built-in digital zoom lens. If you take your time and can see sharp details, such as fingernails, skin pores, etc., hold real still and pray a lot, you can occasionally get decent results. It really makes those selective focus shots pop. Not bad for street photography if you want to reach out without being noticed. Not so great for sports, other than sideline color.
Well, the title works IF it is barley; I don't know how to tell barley from wheat! I took this at one of the `fields of gold' near St Cyrus nature reserve.
(Thank you to Anne Cotton for confirming it is barley ;D)

Insiped by the cover of the 1972 vinyl album Zero Time by Tonto's Expanding Headband. Delusions of grandeur, reallly, but we can all dream.

With the sun setting through the new shoots of the red-twig dogwood, I felt more hopeful.
Thanks for looking.
No culinary skills. Just playing with kitchen tools. My spouse is the chef. I'm the cleanup crew of one, and a lazy one at that.

Once again we have "the big stare down"
"I'll give you one more chance to put the treats out or I'm outta here" ... Who wins this time? ... Got the shot and went inside for the treats.
Back to the Alliums :)))
