Intimate forest abstract of a Vermont Birch cluster with an intentionally softer background as you look further and deeper into the scene.

As usual, I needed to retrieve a file to send off to the print lab, and I found myself poking around the hundreds of images I've ignored all this time. Apparently, I had no interest in this series of files back in the day. Then I'm like "Holy cr@p" when I was scrolling the images and stopped for a good look.

After browsing them again the entire time I shot the scene passed right before my eyes.

I think this is a juvenile turnstone enjoying the last rays of sunshine as the pink waves crash in, on a cold summer evening!

More shots below showing behaviour and markings.... can anyone confirm its a turnstone? Shooting birds on the beach is new for me especially missing the chance of a sunset shot!!!

Not a real back story, but trying some new things with filters. Going to try to jump into 52 frames again for this year. I miss the habit of regularly taking photos.

Selective focus close-ups were always fun to do. Still are....
