My heart-shaped earrings, for this weeks theme "Hearts in mono".
Thank you for taking time to view, fave and / or comment my photo, they are much appreciated. I'll catch up with you in this weekend. Have a nice day!
Taking a wee moment to pose for me.
A very regular visitor to our backyard.
Edited with a textured background.
A creative, artistic version of the anemone plant in my backyard garden.
Edited with a large white matte frame and a textured background.
Anemones, also known as windflowers, are rich in symbolism, with meanings varying across cultures and colors. Generally, they symbolize anticipation, good luck, and protection from evil. However, they are also linked to forsaken love, death, and bad omens in some contexts.

Inspired by #MacroMondays and theme #Curves. I learn quite a bit from this group by researching a word or theme. And discussing themes with my husband. For this theme, he first brought me an old set of French curves, templates used in his physics class.
These are tiny wood shavings he also thought I might use. I popped them into my soft box, used natural sunlight, and felt delighted with the little curls and curves. I hope you like them.
Width of the frame left to right measures less than 4cm/1.57 inches.

Have a happy Macro Monday and a loving Valentine's day. Wish you all lots of love on Valentine's day and the days to come.

We spotted three juvenile robins active in the bird baths, but they split up by the time I got to my camera. This is not the quintessential early bird, but a sunset bird that kindly faced west. But I still clipped its tail.
Experimenting with Adobe Camera Raw to see if what I see in my camera’s tiny viewer, then on my (honking) large and calibrated monitor, matches the RGB of a website.
And then ask my husband for preferences; he has difficulty discerning red/green hues. And then there are Mac and iOS screens...

Thank you for looking. Please avoid political comments.
Male Anna's Hummingbird turned his head and his iridescent feathers caught what little light existed.
Winter solstice today on this continent!

I wanted the knothole in the picture for texture and interest, but after awhile, it began to look like an eye.
A sole eye. A focused eye. A keenly focused eye. Intent. Concentrating. Keeping an eye on the prize.
My imagination runs away with me from time to time. And I let it.
Blessings,
Sheree

On evenings with sunlight, I wander around with monopod and camera. This light and new blooms brought me joy.
About as shot. I'm trying to learn a bit more about Adobe Camera Raw that opens before my old version of Photoshop. It's good to learn something new, I think.

Dilapidated fence along the north side of our property. Unfortunately we will need to replace this whole thing. It will keep us busy :-)
Happy Fence Friday!

It's autumn and starting to get cold in the mornings and nights.
Sydney temp 12-21C, just nice.
I love the autumn colours.
Have a great weekend.

Crazy Tuesday - theme of March 30th, 2021: Folded or Creased Paper
To be honest, I was about to skip this week - but then I noticed the crumpled / creased paper bags we use for grocery shopping (these little bags can be used several times for loose produce ... so they get a bit creased over time)
😄 HaPpY CrAzY Tuesday 😄 , everyone
(will try to catch up later this evening!)

Another (or the same) Northern Shrike with a spot of red on beak and a few feathers. Suddenly ubiquitous, but on a beautifully clear, cold, windy day.

I keep this in the silverware drawer to use almost daily on jars or lids or other such frustrating things. I think this makes me much more gentle than tossing something across the room, don't you?
Back after I ask my significant other what the proper name of this is, if you're interested.
Ah, a pair of duck-billed pliers with which to grip, bend, and twist small things. Small enough for my smallish hand.
