There are times when one shot will get worked a few different ways. On this one I used a layer mask twice for the black and white and the motion blur.
Not an ICM.

Posted for the Smile on Saturday theme "Selective Colour".
I wish you all a wonderful saturday.
Platform view at Amsterstam Sloterdijk railway station. Captured on my way home from a blustery day trip, exploring another part of North Holland.
Amsterdam Sloterdijk is a major railway junction situated to the west of Amsterdam Centraal station. It is at a rail-rail crossing with an additional chord.

The notion of a knot used as a reminder may have originated from the custom of tying a knot in the handkerchief. In days gone by, gentlemen would tie a knot in their handkerchief to remind themselves there is something that should not be forgotten. Whenever they reached for their handkerchief, they would be reminded.
The theme for “Looking Close on Friday” for the 20th of May is “knots”. At first I was a bit hard pressed to think of an interesting knot, then I remembered this old notion. I hope you like my choice for the theme this week, and that it makes you smile.

Foxgloves buds are finally opening up. This is shot with my old 80’s Minolta 50 1.7 AF, I miss lens the most after switching from A to E mount, it’s not quite the same without AF with my manual adapter.

Will try to post comments later on, very intrigued at what I may have missed over the last few days. Looking forward to seeing your pics.
'Twas eerie as I wandered through the woodland to catch a glimpse of this ancient Victorian house of Castlestead where little was moving as the storm moved in. Perhaps the maid risked having the light on as she retired for the night ............................
or perhaps they are heeding the new norm to reduce our energy consumption
One last moment of fame for this old barn
This is near Ashfold Side Plantation adjacent to the track dropping down to Low Wood in Nidderdale. Ashfold Side Beck flows down below the track.
The descent along this track is part of the Nidderdale Way long distance path
Nidderdale was designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1994
Entrance of the Distric Court (Amtsgericht) at Cleves (Kleve), Germany.
The 1457 buiding is also known as Der Marstall, the former stables of Schwanenburg Castle.
A bit hard to find the right door knob :-)

Another one of my foolish digital art pieces. Using layer masks in Elements I blur and do selective colour treatments.
