Growing up, her mother was very ill and she did her best to help take care of her. She watched her mother pass away at a young age. She was left alone with her father. He did not know how to provide for the family. He spent most of his time complaining about having little money and would compare his life to the families with larger homes and more money. Eventually, there was so little money in the house, he had to leave the small property and sell his daughter.
