This weekly Thursday meet during the summer is based at the sea front in the sea side resort of Weston Super Mare, North Somerset, UK.
It is organised by the Riders Branch of the British legion, all bike donate £1 to enter and all proceeds go the charity The Poppy Appeal.
Images can be obtained for a donation of £5 per image, the full image will then be e-mailed to you.
Either send donation via paypal stating the images wanted to bikenightphotos@btinternet.com or send a e-mail to bikenightphotos@btinternet.com with your request and a paypal invoice will be e-mailed to you allowing you to make a secure donation via debit/credit card.
All proceeds will go to the charity being supported by the event The Poppy Appeal

This barn was built in 1396 and is one of the few remaining buildings of this type left. The building is open for tours once a month and is raising funds for restoration.

This pickup truck was sitting in the pullout where we stopped to look at Cleveland Reservoir, and whoever owned it had left all sorts of expensive survey equipment sitting out in the open behind it. I could see the guy with a survey stick down by the reservoir's shore, maybe a quarter-mile away, and I thought to myself, "Well, that's kind of dumb. We could grab all this guy's survey equipment, and he'd never catch us."
And that's when the dog appeared. He had no interest in being friends, and he spent the entire time we were there barking at us. He knew his entire point was to protect that survey equipment, and he'd have eaten us if we'd tried to grab it.

Some pictures from the Oregon Coast for a friend that is traveling with his girlfriend, visiting this fantastic place.
The Oregon Coast is more than a place, it's a state of mind. No place on the map of Oregon is marked as the Oregon Coast, but everybody knows that the 363 miles of coastline where the Pacific Ocean washes up on the state's western beaches is unlike any place else.
Highway 101 winds down the entire Oregon Coast from the Columbia River to the California border. Along the way, it passes through the old growth forests of Oswald West State Park, name for the Oregon governor who began the process of securing Oregon's beaches for public use. All but one of the famous McCullough bridges on Highway 101 are still in operation. The only one that has been replaced is across Alsea Bay at Waldport. Before the bridges were completed during the Great Depression, travel down the Oregon Coast required many ferry trips across the mouths of rivers.

Cedric the Dragon was the mascot for NCH (National Children’s Homes), a UK children’s charity. Cedric and the many costumes that represented him became obsolete NCH uniforms when the charity rebranded as Action for Children around 2007. As a result, Cedric was retired as the charity’s mascot and replaced by a new costumed character based on the organisation’s current star logo.
These archive photographs show two different Cedric costumes and were taken during the scrapping and disposal process. The images document the costumes shortly before they were dismantled for incineration by a secure waste disposal contractor, at the request of their owner.
The costumes are fully synthetic "plastic" dragon mascot suits designed for fundraising and promotional use. Each costume comprised of multiple components and could be broken down into separate parts for ease of maintenance and repair.
The Cedric the Dragon costumes were constructed entirely from synthetic materials by Costumes With Character, formerly known as Situation Clothing, based in Manchester, England. Over the years, several batches of these costumes were produced to support NCH’s fundraising efforts and were distributed across the UK.
During his time as the charity’s mascot, Cedric was a very popular character, appearing in schools, Sure Start centres, community support groups, public events, and corporate-sponsored activities throughout the country. The costumes were worn as official NCH uniforms, primarily by volunteers and staff members, who would bravely don the uncomfortably warm sweaty synthetic-fur dragon suits to portray Cedric during fundraising and promotional engagements.
