While on safari tour, we observed a bunch of sea otters wrapped in kelp. I learned that since sea otters sleep on the surface of the water, they often wrap themselves in kelp or giant seaweed. The kelp provides anchorage so sea otters can securely nap without fear of floating away and out to sea.

Did you know that sea otters are a keystone predator in the kelp forests where they live? By eating sea urchins, sea otters promote kelp growth as sea urchins are known kelp grazers.

There was a big rah-rah anti-immigration protest in Garden City, Long Island. Actually, there were only about 15 people there. This shot was taken from the N24 en route to Roosevelt Field Mall. This guy started to write "their" but wrote "our" over it. Dude, you need to remember what side you're on.

In the basement of 100 King Street Manchester, is this vault - somewhat claustrophobic - surrounded by personal deposit boxes.

The room may be booked for a meal for in the centre is a narrow table. However, these cans of tinned tomatoes caught my eye, on a serving counter. Scarce food indeed!

(If the colour looks a little cool, I was trying to balance the light so that the boxes looked more like stainless steel.

Treetop adventures 60 feet above the ground, secured by steel cables provides fun for young and old alike. Not me--but hey... it's much better photographing from the ground, to say nothing of being a tad safer. They do have an interesting setup for pictures though, not unlike those deals where a photographer waits for you to get on a boat or whatever, so they can sell you a souvenir photo when you get off. No, there isn't a photographer hanging out on every tree, but the next best thing. Each person is given a badge with a QR code on it. There are digital cameras on the trees, connected by wireless access points back to the office computer, where magically a photo appears. No paper prints are made unless you want one. Or, if you don't like that arrangement and would rather do it yourself, they rent Go-Pro cameras with headbands. Fun..fun..fun.
