Edgar Martinez is a former Major League Baseball third baseman and designated hitter. He spent his entire 18-year Major League career with the Seattle Mariners.

The quick working Zambrano would pitch six innings, give up one run and four hits, but strike out six, getting the win over the Mariners. He would also go 1 for 2 with a double, scoring his team's first run.

Ah, Edgar Martinez. A fine, fine player. Well, assuming you don't think the Designated Hitter is the worst thing to happen to baseball since they outlawed the spitball.

 

Then again, I need him to fill out the ranks of my all-Rodriguez-and-Martinez fantasy team so maybe I shoould shut my yap.

Finally getting around to finishing up the composite I made of Felix Hernandez' first pitch of the 2007 MLB baseball season. Made from 20+ frames composited together. Not perfect, but it's not supposed to be...

On August 1, 2016 my wife and I attended a Seattle Mariners game. The Mariners were hosting the Boston Red Sox. Safeco Field is ditransitive with some asymmetrical shapes and great fan amenities.
