Bahadur Chitrakar
When Bahadur Chitrakar was a 18 year old boy, a man named Thomas Kaiser from Germany came to Nayagram, a village in West Bengal, for the purpose of collecting old folk paintings from the eastern states of India. Young Bahadur accompanied that gentleman to different corners of the districts of Midnapore, Bankura, Purulia, Nadia, and even the states of Jharkhand and Odissa. He collected substantial old paintings, scriptures, and other articles from India and took them back to Germany.
Bahadur, being a young passionate lover of Indian folk art, suddenly changed his mind. He thought, if our old traditional folk articles were being taken away, our next generations might not see these indigenous folk art, anymore. With this notion, he started his solo venture to revisit all these areas to collect antique folk articles and ‘pattachitras’ to develop his own museum in his own village of Nayagram. “Over the last 17 years I have collected some 2000 old pattachitras, ancient scriptures, different other folk arts, masks, traditional musical instruments, books, currencies, and garments”, He says. “Such priceless collections now need proper care and preservation, and needs spontaneous help from the state government, or any enterprising organisation,” says Bahadur Chitrakar at his age of 48.

Nayagram is a small village in Pingla, Paschim Midnapur, West Bengal, India, where a number of families having a traditional form of inherited folk art called 'Pattachitra', reside together. They use mostly organic colours and paint a series of paintings, usually depicting stories from Indian Mythology. Pattachitra is a general term for traditional, cloth-based scroll painting, based in the eastern Indian state of Odisha. In the Sanskrit language, "Patta" literally means "cloth" and "Chitra" means "picture". They paint on a variety of articles like sarees, stoles, and many other materials especially for wall hangings.
I was impressed by the fact that almost all the female member of the families are involved in this traditional art and have taken it as the major source of family income.
For the last few years, State Government is promoting a number of handicraft fairs inviting artists from all over the states. Many products are sold directly from the village round the year, and are widely acclaimed in the country and abroad for its ethnic value and simplicity.
There is a resource centre belonging to 'chitrataru' cluster formed by the Pattachitra artists of Pingla, Paschim Medinipur. This was built with the support of the European union, as part of the project 'Ethno-magic Going Global' undertaken by banglanatak dot com.

Jesus worked hard all His life. But His greatest works was achieved in those three dark hours on Calvary when He died for us on the cross.
He never did anything wrong!
Not once said anything amiss!
They called Him every name in the book and He said nothing back. He suffered in silence, content to let God set things right. He used His body to carry our sins to the cross so we could be rid of sin, free to live the right way. His wounds became our healing.
This is the kind of life He invites us into. He lived this kind of life and suffered everything that came His way so that we would see and know that we, too, can live that way. He showed us and He still shows us step by step how.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_of_Edfu
The Temple of Edfu is an Egyptian temple located on the west bank of the Nile in Edfu, Upper Egypt. The city was known in the Hellenistic period in Koinē Greek: Ἀπόλλωνος πόλις and in Latin as Apollonopolis Magna, after the chief god Horus, who was identified as Apollo under the interpretatio graeca. It is one of the best preserved shrines in Egypt. The temple was built in the Ptolemaic Kingdom between 237 and 57 BC. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information on language, myth and religion during the Hellenistic period in Egypt. In particular, the Temple's inscribed building texts "provide details [both] of its construction, and also preserve information about the mythical interpretation of this and all other temples as the Island of Creation." There are also "important scenes and inscriptions of the Sacred Drama which related the age-old conflict between Horus and Seth." They are translated by the Edfu-Project.
History
Edfu was one of several temples built during the Ptolemaic Kingdom, including the Dendera Temple complex, Esna, the Temple of Kom Ombo, and Philae. Its size reflects the relative prosperity of the time. The present temple, which was begun "on 23 August 237 BC, initially consisted of a pillared hall, two transverse halls, and a barque sanctuary surrounded by chapels." The building was started during the reign of Ptolemy III Euergetes and completed in 57 BC under Ptolemy XII Auletes. It was built on the site of an earlier, smaller temple also dedicated to Horus, although the previous structure was oriented east–west rather than north–south as in the present site. A ruined pylon lies just to the east of the current temple; inscriptional evidence has been found indicating a building program under the New Kingdom rulers Ramesses I, Seti I and Ramesses II.
A naos of Nectanebo II, a relic from an earlier building, is preserved in the inner sanctuary, which stands alone while the temple's barque sanctuary is surrounded by nine chapels.
The temple of Edfu fell into disuse as a religious monument following Theodosius I's persecution of pagans and edict banning non-Christian worship within the Roman Empire in 391. As elsewhere, many of the temple's carved reliefs were razed by followers of the Christian faith which came to dominate Egypt. The blackened ceiling of the hypostyle hall, visible today, is believed to be the result of arson intended to destroy religious imagery that was then considered pagan.
Over the centuries, the temple became buried to a depth of 12 metres (39 ft) beneath drifting desert sand and layers of river silt deposited by the Nile. Local inhabitants built homes directly over the former temple grounds. Only the upper reaches of the temple pylons were visible by 1798, when the temple was identified by a French expedition. In 1860 Auguste Mariette, a French Egyptologist, began the work of freeing Edfu temple from the sands.
The Temple of Edfu is nearly intact and a good example of an ancient Egyptian temple. Its archaeological significance and high state of preservation have made it a center for tourism in Egypt and a frequent stop for the many riverboats that cruise the Nile. In 2005, access to the temple was revamped with the addition of a visitor center and paved carpark. A lighting system was added in late 2006 to allow night visits.
Religious significance
The temple of Edfu is the largest temple dedicated to Horus and Hathor of Dendera. It was the center of several festivals sacred to Horus. Each year, "Hathor travelled south from her temple at Denderah to visit Horus at Edfu, and this event marking their sacred marriage was the occasion of a great festival and pilgrimage."
Creation myth of the temple
The creation myth of the temple of Edfu consists of several related scenes, which are found primarily, but not exclusively, on the inside of the perimeter walls of the temple.
They tell the story of the beginning of the world, when it was still entirely covered by water. During the struggle between land and primeval water, the land managed to come close to the surface. Where this happened, reeds grew with the help of a falcon, which were strengthened by the gods The Far and The Large. The reeds were the germ cell for the temple of Edfu, and here Horus landed, as a falcon. A force approached, in the form of a bird, and fed Horus, the lord of Edfu; This ritual was the beginning of the cult of Edfu.
The snakelike Apophis tried to impede the creation. Horus shuddered in fear, yet a harpoon, one of the forms of Ptah, came to the rescue. The enemy was defeated and the creation continued. A falcon formed the sky dome, its wings reaching from horizon to horizon, and the sun began its daily cycle. Then the first temple of Edfu was designed by the gods Thoth and Seshat, one responsible for wisdom, the other for scripture. The godly master-builder constructed the temple according to these plans, but initially not of stone, but of reed.
The foundation ritual of the temple consists of multiple elements: First, the ground-plan was laid out with the stretching-the-cord ritual. When the construction was completed, the king handed the temple over to a triad of gods. To protect the building against external threats, 60 gods formed a living wall around the temple.
Influence on British architecture
The Temple of Edfu provides the model for the Temple Works in Holbeck, Leeds. The courtyard columns at Edfu are closely copied in the frontage of the Works.
James tells us to endure under trial and we will receive the crown of life! Where is he coming from? Isn't grace free ... or is this about grace at all? Eternal life and the crown of life are two different things. The free gift of salvation means we have eternal or everlasting life. James is saying here that we have a sovereign King that will crown us when we persevere ... but it has battles that impact us.
Life was treacherous for believers during the Roman Empire. It was a time when being a believer meant dealing with injustice for their beliefs. They endured torment, persecution, ridicule and even death. Yet James gives us a reason ... the crown of life to those that love and persevere for God!
The trials (peirasmos in Greek) of daily living can help purge us from the impurities of the carnal life -- like the fire purges the impurities out of a metal like gold, refining it so that the foreign substances are removed and it becomes pure and valuable. This is what being approved means, that we persevere, or bear up under pressure and persevering (hupomenō in Greek) under the injustice, being confident that our King is truly in control. Carnal life happens to be at war with the truth, and we must persevere to be refined, like gold, to become valuable to serve our Creator! We gain maturity as believers. This is not earning salvation (that's a free gift from God for believing Jesus Christ is your Savior), but the reward of receiving the crown of life for growing and maturing in our faith!

Devotees drying up their sarees at the beach after a holy dip at Gangasagar
Gangasagar pilgrimage and fair, held annually, is the second largest congregation of mankind (more than 1.5 million this year) after the holy Kumbha Mela. Gangasagar finds mention in sacred texts and ancient scriptures of Hindu mythology including the two great Hindu epics, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.
The river Ganga (Ganges) which originates in the Gangotri glacier in the snow clad high Himalayas, descends down the mountains, reaches the plains, flows through ancient pilgrimage sites, and drains into the Bay of Bengal. A dip in the ocean, where the Ganga meets the sea is considered to be of great religious significance particularly on the Makara Sankranti day (January 14/15), when the sun makes a transition to Capricorn from Sagittarius. Almost a million of Hindu devotees from all over India gather at Gangasagar for a holy dip and perform rituals and prayer (puja) with a belief that it will cleanse and purify their souls.

Psalm 39:4,5 NKJV " LORD, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am. Indeed, You have made my days as handbreaths, And my age is as nothing before you; Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor."
Psalm 90:12 " So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."
--------------------------------------------
Life moves fast, and we are only here for a little while. We are not promised tomorrow, or even the next hour. We must walk wisely while here on earth. Oftentimes we take our days for granted until we lose a loved one, or we have some near-death experience for ourselves. It is in those moments of self-examination that we should ask ourselves some questions.
First and most important is : Have I truly surrendered my life to Christ? Have I trusted Jesus as my Lord and savior? Does my relationship with Christ hold top priority, or do I let other things get in the way?
Then we may ask: Who or what do I let influence my thoughts and actions in a day? Do I spend more time on social media reading the world's opinion, or do I spend time reading God's word looking for wisdom? There are plenty of people willing to voice their opinion on any given topic, And we need the help of the Holy Spirit to discern the good from the bad.
Finally we ask ourselves: Who am I influencing with my thoughts and actions? We have a lot of eyes and ears on us everyday of our lives. Our actions at home will influence our spouse, children, or siblings. When at work we will influence co-workers and customers with our language, and actions. At school, we may influence staff, and our friends. When we meet perfect strangers in public, in the grocery store, or the big box stores, our behavior and our words can make an impression on anyone there. We could be viewed as angry, impatient, complaining, always finding fault in everything. Or we could be viewed as patient, compassionate, always willing to help when possible, tough, but loving, and understanding.
We don't know how much time we have on earth, But we do know it is limited.
{ James 4:14} " Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away." ------------ I say; Life is short, Walk wisely!

Scripture - Matthew 2:1-12
The Visit of the Magi
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."
When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born. "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written:
" 'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.' "
Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him."
After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

Finally I got some daylight for photographs :)
Yesterday I went to my local forest park to test drive my new Kenko 2x teleconverter (it only arrived Friday evening)..... I've had people tell me, "you must use a tripod" and "you'll lose light" and "you'll lose quality and sharpness"...... but I gave it a go anyway with this handheld shot :) unfortunately I can't afford a second hand 600mm lens never mind a new one, so the teleconverter was my best option :) and yes, I know the shot is a little grainy/noisy, but I'm still happy with it and I didn't have to crop it either :)
The fallow deer in Parkanaur Forest Park have a rare white gene and they are the most beautiful animals... I couldn't believe my luck yesterday when this buck grazed away completely oblivious to my presence, I guess it helped that I was wearing a coat pretty much the same colour as his!!! LOL
Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday, and thank you so much for stopping by :)
you can see my other photos of the white herd here.... www.flickr.com/photos/glendahall/sets/72157632250955981/
Know you not that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 6:11
Such WERE some of you, but you are washed. Thank God for His unspeakable gift. The debt is paid. The sacrifice is made. We are forgiven, we are free, we are accepted and loved by a Holy God who has prepared for those who love Him an eternity to be with Him.
I'm thankful.

HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY MY FLICKR FAMILY.
This chapter sends a beautiful CLEAR message. Notice verse 22. "without the shedding of blood there is NO FORGIVENESS.
So for all those who are constantly being told they must keep asking, begging and pleading with God to forgive them, I have to ask why are these religious hierarchy doing that? Have those wonderful elite not taken the time to read the Bible themselves so they would KNOW this is an exercise in futility? Is Christ going to die again, every time people feel guilty about something? Offer up his body to be beaten and bloodied for days, then be hung on a cross all over again? Every time somebody feels the notion to seek MORE forgiveness? No he is not. So please stop asking for what in Christ Jesus you HAVE ALREADY BEEN GIVEN.
You need to KNOW that these wonderful people are playing you. First they con you into joining their club, because they are NOT churches in God's mind. Because God only has ONE Church, he doesn't have one on every corner like filling stations for your car. God only needs ONE and YOU only need ONE. The ONLY way to become a member of God's Church is through FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST AND HIS DEATH FOR YOU ON THE CROSS, which did what? TAKE AWAY ALL OF YOUR SINS, PASS PRESENT AND FUTURE FOR ALL TIME! His burial, which is the proof of death. And his RESURRECTED LIFE ON THE THIRD DAY. When you come to real FAITH IN THOSE FACTS, you don't even have to ask, because God who is Jesus Christ in the flesh, places YOU in HIS CHURCH AT THE VERY MOMENT HE SEE'S YOU GET IT!
God isn't like man, he isn't listening to your words, he has NO need of that, he is listening to your Heart and Mind. We can kid God, we can Deceive God, only ourselves. God also knows you've are being played and lied to by the pretend church hierarchy, because they want to rob and steal from you and your family. They desire to keep you living under a cloud of guilt and shame so they can manipulate you and control you so they can keep you coming back for more, so they can steal from you and your family on a continual basis so they can milk you like cattle. Nice huh?
Because once you have come to a knowledge of TRUTH, you will be sent free from their corrupt motives and hearts as they smile at you at the door. And they usually dress up in expensive clothing and so called holy garb to make themselves seem like something when they are not.
We celebrate Easter for a reason. Because Christ died and took away the SINS of the WHOLE WORLD on calvary some 2,000 years ago. Easter is a celebration of his being raised from the dead, so that same Life that raise Christ from the dead, can also raise us to everlasting LIFE through FAITH in JESUS. No faith, no life. No faith no Jesus. So stop doubting and BELIEVE unto Salvation and everlasting Life. IF YOU BELIEVE, YOU HAVE PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE EVERLASTING AND YOU BELONG TO JESUS AND NO ONE CAN SNATCH YOU OUT OF HIS HAND, YOU HAVE BEEN PASS TENSE, HIDDEN IN CHRIST JESUS FOR ETERNITY!
Face it, you are loved. Jesus did it all, because we can to doing in and of ourselves. Jesus left nothing up to chance for us to screw up. He did it all for us, because he LOVES YOU PERFECTLY. So we cry out, THANK YOU JESUS! WE HAVE MUCH TO BE GRATEFUL FOR THIS RESURRECTION SUNDAY. WE HAVE BEEN MADE ALIVE IN HIM, if we just believe! AMEN?
------------------------------ JESUS ✝️ SAVES-------------------------------
SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS ALONE!
❤️❤️ IT'S ALL JESUS AND NONE OF OURSELVES! ❤️❤️
1. Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2. BY THIS GOSPEL YOU ARE SAVED, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4. that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5. and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8. and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
9. For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11. Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed. (1 Corinthians 15:1-11)
7. Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9. I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10. The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)
Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus died that death for YOU and I. The good news is there no more punishment for sin left, we were and are all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

Romans 8 English Standard Version (ESV)
Life in the Spirit
8 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.[a] 2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you[b] free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. 3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin,[c] he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. 10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus[d] from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
Heirs with Christ
12 So then, brothers,[e] we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons[f] of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
Future Glory
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because[g] the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[h] for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.
God's Everlasting Love
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be[i] against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.[j] 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
A psalm of David.
The Lord is my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing honor to his name.
Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever.
[Psalm 23:1-6 NLT]
5 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
1. Like it or not, we are ALL sinners: As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” (Romans 3:10-12 NLT)
2. The punishment for sin is death: When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT)
3. Jesus is our only hope: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT)
4. SALVATION is by GRACE through FAITH in JESUS: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT)
5. Accept Jesus and receive eternal life: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12 NLT) And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12 NLT)

Romans 1:19,20 - For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made…

BIBLICAL CONTEXT: Psalm 97:1-6 NIV
(from biblegateway.com)
1 The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad;
let the distant shores rejoice.
2 Clouds and thick darkness surround him;
righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
3 Fire goes before him
and consumes his foes on every side.
4 His lightning lights up the world;
the earth sees and trembles.
5 The mountains melt like wax before the Lord,
before the Lord of all the earth.
6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness,
and all peoples see his glory.

5 MORE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
The First Gurdwara of Australia, Woolgoolga
The First Sikh Temple is of state heritage significance as the first Sikh gurdwara built in NSW and Australia. The provision of a gurdwara is essential to the Sikh faith and the establishment of The First Sikh Temple (1968) and the new gurdwara (2019) reflects the migration and permanent settlement of the Sikh community, from the Punjabi region of India, to Woolgoolga and NSW from the 1940s.
The First Sikh Temple and the new gurdwara (2019) are a representative example of a Sikh place of worship in NSW. Together, the temples contain the principle elements required for a gurdwara: being the Guru Granth Sahib (sacred scripture); the langar (kitchen/dining room) for the provision of food, and the flagpole and Nishan Sahib (flag).
