Right Turtle is a series of screenprints representing a hand in a bold and dramatic pose. Years ago I became obsessed with drawing my left hand viewed wrist-on as it was splayed across my knee. I did several versions of this before finally creating a woodblock print of it (the nature of relief printing turning the left hand into a right hand, of course). it was not until '09 that I eventually turned that image into a silkscreen print. this is one of those prints. Using a dirty-screen technique, two separate screens and different colors of paper, I was able to create many bold and colorful variations, each one unique. This particular print has been SOLD.
