Beall Hall was constructed in 1927 to house private, individual patient rooms for the wealthier citizens of Durham, and was named for Valinda Beall Watts, the wife of George Watts, whom contributed to the hospital heavily in its early years.
Built in 1909, this was the original main building of the hospital, home to the lobby, offices, and support facilities for the complex. Today, it is a large classroom and office building, and still maintains its original, exquisitely detailed lobby and exterior details.

The School of Science, Technology and Art by William Mountford, (statues by Frederick Pomeroy), William Brown Street 1901.
This was the last of the great buildings of William Brown Street to be completed, in 1901. This is the original entrance in Byrom Street although it also presents a classical facade to William Brown Street where the current entrance to The World Museum has been sited. This facade used to brilliantly close the view from Dale Street (until the Churchill Way South flyover intervened). The basement and lower floors contained the college. The upper floors contained a museum extension (including the horseshoe gallery, which along with the whole building has only recently been brought back into museum usage).

Project: Emtrol-Buell Cyclone Redesign
Group: Christopher Gieniec, Ninan Mathew, Brian Ton
This project is a continuation of two previous capstone projects. After these two projects, Emtrol-Buell is now interested in refining the system by correcting inconsistencies in the airflow, along with a new design of the cyclone body. This will allow for a higher degree of particle separation from the airflow. The final design of the system will be capable of acquiring accurate experimental data.
