Harford Mall Ritz Camera

picked up a new scanner and did a scan on my old negatives. the 'original' was scanned in 2006 at a photo lab, while this pair was scanned with a flatbed scanner.

ran on a canoscan 8800f using vuescan software.

The opaque projector, epidioscope, epidiascope or episcope is a device which displays opaque materials by shining a bright lamp onto the object from above.

When the optical path is reversed, the image is formed on the plate on which the projected object is originally placed.

A flatbed scanner can be placed in that area to acquire the image.

Due to the mechanism of acquiring images by moving the image sensor, a warped image is obtained in the case of a moving object.

Instead of the scanner, Cyanotype or Van Dyke photographic paper could be placed on (with a film holder) and used as a camera under sunlight.
