Photographed August 2017 / Kodak Autographic 1A with Kodak Achromatic Doublet lens. Camera converted to handle 120 film (originally 116 format which is long obsolete). ILFORD HP5 PLUS rated ASA 250/320 developed in PYROCAT-HD (5ml A & 25ml B > 600ml, 7min 15sec, 20*C). Negative illuminated on a light panel and scanned with an iPad mini using Film Scanner app. Image processed in Flickr.

Realistic Pocket-Scan Scanners from Radio Shack from the mid 1970s and early 1980s, with packages and crystals used to receive frequencies. The PRO-21A on the right was my first scanner radio.

Received a new to me designated film scanner the PrintFilm 3600U. This film was flat anyway, but this scanner will do well on curved film. This one doesn't seem as flat as the other scan almost the 3D effect.

This is a scan on my flatbed.

The Deutz-AG manufactured Scanner-Jammer is a multipurpose drone designed to augment civilian and military organisations.

Primarily the drone is a remotely operated scanning device, capable of passive and active scanning and real time updates to a sentient operator, usually on-board a nearby ship. However, the S/J can be used as a forward spotter for artillery, increasing the accuracy and effectiveness of space-based weaponry by more detailed guidance and telemetry.

The technology crammed into the drone can be reversed and flipped around in order to disrupt the scans and guidance systems of nearby vessels, too. Although skilled sensor operators can construct workarounds, the S/J can easily disrupt and scramble the data guiding snubfighters, shuttles and even some capital ship scale missiles.

The S/J cannot function whilst moving, however, and moves at half the speed of most snubfighters. The example pictured is on the periphery of an asteroid belt, using environment protection to keep it as far from harm's way as possible.

India. Benarés, actualmente llamada Varanasi, representa todo aquello que contrasta con nuestros principios y costumbres occidentales. El primer contacto con la India a través de Varanasi puede llegar a ser un shock para alguien que no esté acostumbrado al estilo de vida hinduista.

La ciudad sagrada, bañada por el Ganges, es un centro de peregrinación donde se cree que cada inmersión en el río sirve para expiar los pecados. Lanzar las cenizas de un cadáver, a su vez, rompe con el ciclo de las reencarnaciones del difunto. Montones de peregrinos llegan a la ciudad en busca de la paz redentora que ofrece la diosa Ganga y son centenares los ancianos que deambulan por las calles esperando el toque de gracia que los llevará al descanso eterno.

Vida y muerte se mezclan en este río donde se pueden ver niños jugando a la pelota mientras esquivan algún cuerpo surcando por sus aguas sagradas.

Cremaciones, incienso, excrementos, biriani, samosas, curry, asados, hierbas aromáticas… Andar por Varanasi es un menú completo para nuestro olfato. La riqueza de aromas y colores se mezclan en un sinfín de tonalidades y constituye un verdadero placer perderse entre el bullicio de sus estrechísimas calles para acabar en un ghat en el atardecer y presenciar uno de sus rituales sagrados con fuegos y pétalos lanzados al río.
