At a recent exhibit of blind photographers, I was introduced to Scanner Portraits. I'm not sure I'd call them "photos", but they did. I'm playing with them.

I've just finished the initial stages of modifying a Canon Lide 20 scanner into a camera.
This self portrait was taken using a box brownie placed onto the glass of the modified scanner on the floor while I stood over it.
For the first scan, I think it came out quite well. There's plenty lef tto do, including building a dedicated camera body and some further modification of the scanner housing to allow more lgiht in to the sensor.
