Wiggled it around a bit (it's still attached to the tray) and removed the upper cathodes and a mirror.

Another image from the Frisco, TX Superdrome. I'm trying to work out some kind of home-brew negative holder for my scanner, as the stock one sucked to begin with and is now broken. This one works OK and I'll probably make another of a similar design out of plastic (cardboard is hardly ideal), but I need to work out the thickness to optimize sharpness. This scan is sharp enough for small web use, but not enough for print.
A Piece of Today No. 115
Inspired by vonrock, for this one I improved my technique by rolling my head, nose and mouth as the scan went by.
Using my scanner and photoshop to make photograms. This is my first attempt.
The image is stolen frim Vogue, not one of my own, but I'm just learning how to do it :)
Red skinner blend heart - loosely based on some inspiration from Christi Friesen.
Taken using a scanner - thanks Carol!
I was bored, had some fun with the scanner. It's really hot today. I got a new phone, the Samsung Reality-- it's really awesome. Touch screen, slide phone, and it's just neat. Has an AWESOME camera, too, which I am going to sincerely enjoy. I'm going to be paying my own bill, too, which is going to be interesting. But it's my first bill, so I'll be able to build my credit and try and be responsible... like I don't already.
The other photo's I uploaded are from Aaron's house this last week. We worked on his house almost EVERYday, peeling paint and powerwashing and sanding and painting. We have more this week.

This barcode scanner combines advanced 2D imaging with an incredibly durable body, an excellent solution for streamlining and future-proofing operations.
For standard UPC barcodes, this scanner sports an optimal scan range of 34" or more. Scanning ranges vary by barcode type, but this reads barcodes easily and offers up to 100" per second motion tolerance, so even fast-paced scanning environments are no match for the industrial scanner.
Ruggedness and longevity are vital in industrial environments, and the scanner is designed to hold up to rough conditions. The reinforced body is strong enough to survive multiple drops of 6.5-feet to concrete, and the scanner is sealed to an IP65 standard, ensuring no dust nor low pressure water sprays will harm the internal components.
Able to operate in temperatures as low as -4° F, this barcode scanner is a strong and durable imager that will maximize uptime at your business. Comes with a 3-year warranty.

This is a cover that went over a price scanner at toys r us i grabbed this as it was going to be thrown out if i didn't take it
Drew this in my art folder. I decided to use the scanner for the first time. I've never been very good at drawing portrait things of people, I prefer do draw things from scratch, but I enjoyed doing this one. Gaspard Ulliel is my favourite actor. He's very stylish and good looking so I thought he'd be a perfect subject for my first scanned-artwork! : ) I've since added to the drawing, so when I can be bothered I'lll scan it as it is now.
