Most of these multi element antenna's , many are just too delicate . i am more of a fan of specific tuned antenna's like a beam on rotor for the most listened stations. and a all band scanner antenna that can pick up with minimal loss. I forgot the model number of this antenna and can't seam to find a picture of it anywhere.

some scanner tricks eh

I finally managed to restore my old film scanner.

It had been banished to the basement many years ago after stalls during scanning had become more frequent.

It took me several hours to disassemble it, clean the optics, remove the old grease that had hardened into candle wax and apply new grease to the bearings.

Now it is like new again.

Its handling better for scanning 35mm film than the V700. Also it is much faster, SCSI is a harddisk interface after all.

The resolution of 2700dpi yields ca. 3600 x 2400pixels per frame.

It can do Infrared cleaning on colour films and does focus to the emulsion.

Because of its SCSI interface it is an order of magnitude cheaper than its Firewire- and USB cousins.

It runs without any configuring or drivers on an old computer running Linux Mint and Vuescan scanning software.

If you still have a LS-2000 don't throw it away.
