This 86 year old lady goes to the Brown Park once a week to feed the duck during winter time. She was worrying about the ducks not getting food since it is so cold and not that many people will go to feed as often as back in summer. She was hardly able to walk on the ice the day I met her and almost stuck there, carrying almost 10 pounds of bird food. I was so touched and inspired by her and so glad I was able to help. Yes, your $5 tip is fully waived! =)
On the Ventura station train platform, and with a lot of time to kill, I realized my camera had a dead battery ("Bugger bugger bugger!") However, I had the foresight to bring my charger, and the luck to spy an outlet next to the bench on which I was sitting. There was an outlet right below my train window, too! Yay for electricity!
My car woes provided an unexpected dividend: I got to take the train from Ventura to Santa Barbara!
I have got to fix that bushy eyebrow! The eyebrow actually isn't finished. I was playing around with the brush strokes a bit.
This is the man who had the right tool in his vintage car to fix our flat. All told, I don't think it took more than half an hour from pulling over to driving off.
