Pretty exciting to see a fire in my neck of the woods. Luckily, we stopped near the fire, and I pulled out my handy dandy CAMERA! Wooh. but unfortunately, I did not have my handy dandy rechargeable batteries charged all the way, and after about the 7th picture, the camera wasn't all that handy dandy. I really wonder how this fire started, probably some assholes trying to be funny or something.

When my middle son was in Afghanistan, he was in constant danger. I made 16 quilts during the year he was away, and each one gave me moments of peace. To think about nothing but the fabric helped me cope with the unknowns of having a child in combat. This particular quilt brought me joy in the way each piece fit together to make a moving picture. I hope it brings a smile to your face.
