The Rat Savior is a 1976 Croatian fantastic horror film directed by Krsto Papić. It was released in 1976, and was selected as the Yugoslav entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 49th Academy Awards. In 1999, a poll of Croatian film critics found it to be one of the best Croatian films ever made.
The plot: A man uncovers a race of intelligent rats who can appear as human. He is captured and taken to the rat people’s leader (the "savior" of the movie's title). He escapes, but then wonders who among his fellow humans is a rat person in disguise.
One of the movie locations was also the building in the photo, located in the historic part of Zagreb, Croatia. I watched the movie as a small child and, as a result, spent the rest of my childhood and early teens scared to death of that building. Of course, it sounds silly now. :-)
My sunset capture got blown out, but fortunately for me, the woman in front of me nailed the shot! Now, all I've gotta do is just crop this down some more... ;-)

The Church of the Saviour at Berestove is located to the North of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. It was constructed in the village of Berestove around the start of the 11th century during the reign of Prince Volodymyr Monomakh. It later served as the mausoleum of the Monomakh dynasty, also including Yuri Dolgoruki, the founder of Moscow. Despite being outside the Lavra fortifications, the Church of the Saviour at Berestove is part of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra complex.
Echoes of serenity on the highest the soul can reach. In the most secret moments when the music flies and the hand of the musician stops... the lovers listen to the echo dancing between the peaks of the distant mountains in the silence ringing with crystals into the earth's depths... creating a unique magic in just a moment of peaceful serenity. So the music, life, and the fight may continue again.

These statues are part of an art exhibition in Budapest.
The New World Design for Contemporary Art presents almost 600sqm of the world of the Great War, which can be seen as the epoch that radically changed the world order of the time: the formerly stable empires have dissolved, culture and public thought have changed dramatically. World War II buried the old world, the result of a new world conflagration and then the Cold War. Europe was bleak in the twilight that the 20th century was dominated by America and Russia.
The exhibition takes visitors from happy peace to enthusiasm for war and bitter disappointment. It shows how the civilization of civilized and global warfare was fought, how the 19th century came to a standstill and the hinterland became the battlefield. The nature of war has changed: victory has now become a function of the amount of war material.

The Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the main cathedral of the Assumption Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
A fragment of the royal row in the iconostasis. To the left of the royal gate, in the royal row, there is traditionally an image of the Mother of God (Hodigitria of Chernihiv).
The main theological idea of this monument of icon painting is the coming of the Savior and His incarnation for the salvation of humanity. In the icon, the baby Jesus is presented as the Heavenly King who will judge everyone with justice. Christ's right hand is raised in a blessing gesture. And the right hand of the Mother of God points to the Messiah, to whom the thoughts and prayers of believers should be directed. She is depicted as if saying: “He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.”
The second icon to the left of the royal gate is the icon of the Cathedral of the Holy Venerable Fathers of Pechersk.

На іконі Пресвята Богородиця Чернігівська - традиційне поясне зображення Божої Матері типу Одигітрія (грецькою Οδηγήτρια — вказуюча дорогу) з Ісусом-немовлям. За легендою, ця ікона була намальована євангелістом Лукою. Пресвята Богородиця та Ісус - в коронах. Права рука Божої Матері - біля грудей. Права рука Ісуса - піднята і складена у благословення. Одигітрія є найпоширенішим типом богородичної ікони в Україні.
Основна богословська ідея цієї пам'ятки іконописного мистецтва – пришестя Спасителя та Його втілення для спасіння людства. На іконі немовля Ісус представлений як Небесний Цар, який судитиме всіх і кожного за справедливістю. Права рука Христа піднесена у благословляючому жесті. А права рука Божої Матері вказує на Месію, до якого мають бути звернені думки та молитви віруючих. Вона зображена так, ніби каже: «Він є Шлях, Істина та Життя».
Друга ікона ліворуч від царської брами - ікона Собор усіх святих преподобних отців Печерських.
Собор усіх Києво-Печерських преподобних отців – свято Православної Церкви на честь святих Києво-Печерської лаври. Урочистість об'єднує святих із двох Соборів: преподобних отців Києво-Печерських Ближніх печер та преподобних отців Києво-Печерських Далеких печер.
В день свята згадують та прославляють всіх святих, пов'язаних із Києво-Печерською лаврою. Засновником обителі та руського чернецтва вважається преподобний Антоній. Він вів пустельне життя в Київських печерах, але незабаром до нього почали приєднуватися інші ченці. Так у середині одинадцятого століття утворилася Печерська обитель.
Сподвижник преподобного Антонія Печерського, преподобний Феодосій, увів у монастирі статут, який привіз із Константинополя. Згодом цей статут поширився попри всі православні монастирі. Так на Русі була започаткована традиція двох типів чернечого життя: усамітнення в печерах і затворах, і життя чернечою громадою.
У сонмі Києво-Печерських святих прославлено близько ста двадцяти подвижників, молитовників та чудотворців. Їхні імена самі говорять за себе: Лаврентій Затворник, Кукша Преподобномученик, Сергій Слухливий, Іоанн Багатостраждальний, Пімен Постнік, Онуфрій Мовчазний, Онісифор Сповідник, Григорій Чудотворець, Матвій Прозорливий, Даміан Цілитель, Агапіт – лікар безмездний. Завдяки їхньому подвигу Свято-Успенська Києво-Печерська лавра відома сьогодні усьому світу.

"Galanthus is a small genus of about 20 species in the family Amaryllidaceae commonly known as Snowdrops. Most flower in winter, before the Spring Equinox (21st March in the Northern Hemisphere) but certain species flower in late autumn and early spring.
Snowdrops are sometimes confused with their relatives, snowflakes, which are Leucojum and Acis species.
Some snowdrop species are threatened in their wild habitats, and in most countries it is now illegal to collect bulbs from the wild.
