Plans to protect air and water, wilderness and wildlife are in fact plans to protect man. The fate of the living planet is the most important issue facing mankind. When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world. If we go on using the Earth uncaringly and without replenishing it, then we are just greedy consumers.

Every day we experience weather changes and world catastrophes caused by global warming, erosion, and other ecological changes the Earth has experienced over the past century. Complete rain forests have been destroyed, never to grow back. The planet is dying – poisoned by all the toxic waste and pollution we have released upon it.

It is time for all of us to do something to save what little is left of the planet’s resources, to try and give back to the Earth all that it has given to us. For our children and their children, we must change our ways so that future generations have a cleaner world where they can breathe unpolluted air and drink clean water.

Things once lost gains twice its natural worth. Should we wait till that last drop of drinkable water to fall off our hands before realizing the actual worth of it? Let's join hands this World Water Day to conserve the actual lifeline of each one of us!

The concept of going green is gaining popularity in every walk of life. Starting from individual households to corporations, people slowly understand the importance of safeguarding the environment, planet and animals. Hence, going green is being recognized and becoming a part of Health, Safety and Environment in corporations and offices.

Many of the event venue organizers will suggest private parks, restaurants and hotels which are ecofriendly. Many of the facilities use energy efficient lighting by adopting solar power and natural light which will help in bringing down your electricity bills. Recycling is also adopted which is the first option when it comes to going green. Check out for venues which recycle waste and other products.

09 of 30 days of April.

I never clean my car... and Karachi is a dirty city, with a big population of eagles.... and I park my car under a tree inhibited by a family of eagles. They eat a lot, I can tell you.

I never clean my car... because I believe its a waste of precious water... and this is my protest against the general ignorance of people who take water for granted. But no one seem to get my point. No one seem to look past the dirt and shit on the car. I have been threatened, given donation money, been yelled at on street, offered money from beggars, disowned by my parents, so that I may wash my car. But I resisted.

Today at work, I received a call from a couple of my old colleagues from my previous whork, asking me to come down to the parking lot. That was odd. "What the fuck are they doing here?" I asked myself. Anyhow, so I went down to the parking lot.... and what I witnessed there was the single most excruciating sight I have seen in my recent life. Those fuckers had cleaned up my car.

Mother fuckers.

I hope you all get touched by monkeys and get AIDs and die.

It avoids touching of it.

Without touching it with your hands, it can turn on and offer the water you need. It is handy and easy to use. More importantly, it can avoid the contagious disease. For example, when it is a traditional tap, to turn on a tap must need the help of touching of your hands.

Facts about Water Scarcity:

1) Less than 1 percent of the Earth’s water is fit for consumption.

2) Water conservation, use, and quality affect whether a country is able to meet demands.

3) Worldwide, water scarcity now affects one in three people.

4) 20 percent of the world’s population walks an average of 3.5 miles a day to get drinking water

5) If you could put all the world’s water into a gallon jug, the freshwater available for use would equal about one tablespoon.

6) 140+ million people may soon become “#climatemigrants ” due to floods, droughts, and water scarcity.

7) While nearly 70 percent of the world is covered by water, only 2.5 percent of it is fresh.

8) By 2025, an estimated 1.8 billion people will live in areas plagued by water scarcity, with two-thirds of the world’s population living in water-stressed regions.

9) It is expected that water demand in India and China alone — the world’s two most populous countries – will exceed supplies in less than 20 years.

Pacific Sunset Flannel Bush - Fremontodendron in May 2010

Fremontias need full sun, minimal water & fertilizer, plenty of room, and well drained soil. Pacific Sunset and Mexicanum are two of my favorite varieties. Fast growth, interesting appearance, and showy flowers add this this plant's garden value. Perfect for any Southwest/ Mediterranean garden. Flannel Bush is increasing less common due to habitat loss, invasive species and human-based wildfires.

Leaves, stems and seeds have a fuzzy texture that many California native plants have to prevent water loss from their tissues. The hairs on the seeds pods have been known to irritate some sensitive skin, but I have no problem with it.
