We went to a friend of Jeff's Dad's hockey game and watched a game afterwards. There was a girl playing goal against the boys. I think that's really awesome. I took a ton of pictures of her.
From Baking Illustrated.
I used 3 different kinds of chocolate and 4 different kinds of chips in these...with glorious results.
I even saved a little of the raw dough just to eat...it was that fantastic.

"Message from Mary S.: The future of the Internet as we know it is at stake. The FCC is proposing rules that would kill the open Internet and create a fast lane for companies that can afford big fees and a slow dirt road for the rest of us. We're fighting back--and we're being heard. This Thursday, May 15, the FCC will meet in Washington, DC, to vote on whether or not to advance this proposal. We'll rally in DC, but we won't stop there: We'll gather at FCC offices in 24 cities to send shockwaves through the FCC bureaucracy until they restore real Net Neutrality and protect the Internet for all of us."

In February 2011, Manchester City Council set its budget proposals, mainly to try and tackle the cuts that the Council will be facing due to the economic situation.
The budget proposals make for scary reading.
As well as a controversial plan to effectively cease to be an Early Years provider of daycare and sell off its Sure Start nurseries to other providers, there are also local cuts which affect the people of Levenshulme, notably the baths.
The local swimming baths has always been popular with residents (indeed when this shot was taken, many people were going in) and there have been campaigns before to save the baths when it has been faced with closure.
The campaign has already had a demonstration and meeting take place, and there are plans for further demonstrations.
I for one would be gutted if a well used local amenity went without due consultation with the local residents.

On April 5. VSEA members working at the Vermont Veterans Home conducted a Honk-and-Wave in downtown Bennington to begin enlisting public support in the workers' fight to save Vermont's only Veterans' Home.
An engagement photo shoot I did. They are having a photo booth at their reception, which sparked the idea for this shoot.
The idea is from a fellow flick member who's profile i don't know, my client showed had a copy of their version. To whoever you are, if you see this, you had a great idea... Thank you.

Saved by Rikki's last night! Attacked by a dog 3 days ago, his owner finally brought him to a vet to be euthanized! Instead, Rikki's was able to help! He'll get all the care he needs and most certainly all the love he can stand! Meet Little Mack!
JESUS SAVES..it had been almost a dozen years since I attended a church service, and oddly enough, the one I attended yesterday in the basement of the former St Andrews United was the same darn church I attended in May of 2011 for a service, somewhat dedicated to the men and photos and stories of the book Dark Hallways and Other Lost Places in my Soul...that day the church spoke about doing good deeds, helping your fellow man. A lady, I don't recall her name asked me if I had ever been to this church before? I said, I had, many years ago and told her of the moment that the images from the photo essay Dark Hallways were placed on a screen and John Lennons song Imagine was playing as the likes of Tattoo Tom Fred Maybee The Shinny Man Wanderin John and others slowly rolled across the screen. I looked her in the eyes and said, "many men will cover up their tears, at this moment I was unable to hold the tears back"...yesterdays Non Denominational gathering was built somewhat on the lines of an old Revivalist gathering, which we would run into in the City back in the 1960s...This one time, my friend Jake the Snake Nash, his GF at the time my wifes sister Darleen and Julia my wife attended a Sunday night gathering. They were in stitches as woman of colour were rolling on the ground, some of which were wearing wigs that quickly fell off their heads as they rolled on the ground talking in tongues shouting out Praise The Lord to the prompts of a dark suited minister! Yesterday was much calmer as Beloved Father Leo set the tone with his selection of songs, after each one he would say a little bit of wisdom. Then they had a feast as all manner of diamond shaped sandwiches and sweets platter were carried throughout the guests as they mingled and yakked...I escaped unnoticed out the side door and up the steps to sunlight, some kind man had placed a donor bike in the back of my unit...I had fish to fry in Bobcaygeon, and what a glorious day it was..Amen
