After a few hours involving planning, a trip to the store , bringing it home and building it, all that remains is to put the sandbox in the yard and fill it with sand.
I reminisce my childhood as I played in the impromptu sandbox I found in a nearby construction site.

Here are the seats I built for the sandbox out of 2" x 4". They are picnic bench-style and quite generously sized so adults can sit on them comfortably. The silver snaps on the side I added to keep the waterproof tarp in place with a snap fastener kit.
I've admired this hand painted sandbox for years (it's for sanding the streets when it's snowy and icy), but always been in my car, and without camera when I've seen it. Now, we finally walked by it, and I HAD to take this picture!
