Memorial Day Weekend: Day 7
I think the kids were found more often in this sandbox than anywhere else this Memorial Day weekend. I was told my brother’s friend David P, a college mathematics professor, applied the Pythagorean Theorem while drawing up the diagram for the construction of this sandbox. To my surprise I also discovered that about 4 tons of sand was required to fill this box. As you can see from the third photo, I am sure the amount of sand in that box will become less and less over the years.
Daisy decided on the first day we had the sandbox that she didn't like getting sand on her clothes. Now she perches on the edge and reaches in to play with the sand & toys.
I made these pants using the Oliver + S Sandbox Pants pattern. It was my first go with an Oliver + S pattern and I'm hooked. The patterns are so well written and easy to follow...love 'em! These pants have been worn and worn (and very loved)...I keep meaning to make another pair (or two).
