Week 51 of 52 in 2016. The theme is HAPPY HOLIDAYS. I decided to shoot some of the Christmas lights in the historic Green Street section of Gainesville, but when I finished, my favorite shot was this Christmas tree and poinsettia in our local Mellow Mushroom restaurant.

This was on McCarter Highway (Route 21) by the old railroad overpass at Edison Place. This was originally a color image.
Dogwood 52 Week Photography Challenge. The week 23 challenge brief was (Landscape - Weather) 'This week should be as unpredictable as the weather! Feature the weather in this week’s landscape'.
I'm really struggling for motivation and time at the moment. Motivation is lacking due to exhaustion and time is also in short supply. Both factors are primarily as a result of having recently started a new job.
Fortunately the new job and the challenge for this week came together nicely as I was able to capture this image of a storm front over Eastern Melbourne from my desk. Although the quality is poor due to using my phone and the glare from the lighting and glass.
Interestingly there was a strange circular type rainbow that developed in the sky for a few minutes. Initially I thought it was a reflection but I moved and could still see it. Smarter people than I on the floor suggested it is known as a 'Glory' or 'Pilot's Bow. The phone camera didn't quite pick it up but it is basically in the centre of the image, just below the storm front.
