Happy Bench Monday! This old church pew is used as a waiting bench at the Tip Top Restaurant in Charlottesville, Virginia.
So I'm wandering around in my tiny but floriferous garden, proudly clutching my camera, a big bad boy's toy of a zoom lens and trying to catch some shots of ever elusive insects feeding on my blooms. Trouble is, nothing is ever quite feeling right, not big enough in the frame, not enough depth of field, not sharp enough, focus a little bit off, wondering about buying that nice macro lens, when, on impulse, I whip out my shiny new mobile and blast off a few frames. And... 3 shots later I've got this in the bag.
Taken with my mobile, processed in Snapseed on my mobile, uploaded to Flickr from my mobile. Stuff shot with the camera is still on the sd card awaiting upload to my pc. I'm converted 😃
Prisma renders of a friends photo I took with my smartphone. Prisma is fun I must admit and the renders look awesome. One fantastic example of artificial intelligence.
Record shot. A common and remarkably variable species, which is found throughout Britain in a wide range of habitats.

We were sitting under a tree on the lawn of our lodge, when we started to feel raindrops, despite a cloudless sky. My endeavours to identify this spittlebug have provided the explanation - we were being spat on from a great height by the spittlebug larvae and nymphs!

Lake Duluti Serena Hotel, Tengeru, Usa River, Tanzania.
Sunset at Zöbigker harbour (Lake Cospuden, Saxony, Germany). Please excuse the poor image quality. I've taken this picture with my smartphone and although the quality is really terrible I still like the colours and the composition. As soon as the weather gets better I'll go there again with my Canon to give it another try.
