Caught up on the 365 Challenge Quilt Sampler today.
Added a bit to the assortment of fabrics I've been working from.
Before finishing. Worsted-weight cotton. (Chunky stuff, not great for small-scale project like this.)
I started this back in 1998 and finished it yesterday! It is about 8" by 18" inches. Naturally dyed silk on linen, sampler #701 by Alyce Schroth.
Baby design was adapted from the Christmas baby design by Joanne Sanderson (see Christmas Baby Pillow in this set) and the rest was personalized and adapted from various design sources. The finished sampler was approx. 8x10" (or 10x12", I can never remember which).
Bonnet stitch sampler.
A quick one this week as I'm off on holiday for 3 weeks! Hope you all have a Happy Easter!
Designed by Lesa Steele. Best downloaded and viewed in Full Size (which is kind of big - sorry). I'm almost finished -there are only a few more bands to go. I decided to take a break (read chickened out) when I got to the hem stitching band, as I've never done those before! The beading is also being done at the end. I subbed the Kreinik with Rainbow Gallery PTB (Gold). Other fibers used: Silk N Colors Halloween Confetti; DMC Perle Ecru #8 + #12. Fabric is Cream Belfast Linen.

Block 4. My center pinwheel point on the blue block didn't match up very well. I can live with it. :)

My two favorite things that other people have made for me. The shawl my mom made, the sampler my grandma made
