The town arena where hockey is played is about as Canadian as it gets. This Westport arena was empty when I entered it on a weekday but come Sametime, it is the center if town life.

When my last cartoon was taken down by management, one of the things I thought about doing was to make a pro-management cartoon to see what they would do about it. A squeaky, clean cartoon, as my ex-colleague Nurse2Be said. Great minds think alike.
I was about ten years old when South Vietnam fell to the Communists. I lived a few years under Communist rule and learned a thing or two about the Communist propaganda posters/murals. The Party is Great! Long Live the Chairman! Down With Capitalism! Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You... Oops, not that last one. These posters usually show men of different occupations working toward a common goal. You have the soldier with an AK-47 Kalashnikov, the farmer with a hoe, some scholarly fellow, all beaming across the face looking to some bright horizon. There may be a picture of Chairman Mao or Stalin or Uncle Ho hovering in the air. You would also have large text extolling certain virtues or discouraging certain behaviors.
So I had this idea of drawing a propaganda "poster" for management. Naturally I went to Google to search for sites with keywords like "propaganda posters". One thing led to another, I think the best site for Communist Chinese propaganda posters must be at www.iisg.nl/~landsberger/ This man must have a big house or a large room to store all those posters!
Back to my own poster: Here we have the office techie geeks with their keyboard and mouse looking after the sun. We have the proclamation "GARS is Glorious! PAR is Paramount! Tracker is Tremendous!" FYI, GARS is the major request system we use, PAR is a timesheet tool, and Tracker tracks all that we do during a normal working day, from email to SameTime, from GARS to Hotline, everything we do we are supposed to enter into Tracker. Yeah, right. Traveling with the Sun's rays, we have inspirational messages on how to become a goody two-shoe, uh, an exemplary employee. To be safe, I have no mention of Mumbai... My choice of adjectives achieve two goals - (1) something important; (2) alliteration. Both GARS and Glorious start with G, PAR and Paramount start with P, and Tracker and Tremendous have Tr at the beginning. Actually, tremendous itself doesn't necessarily mean anything good, such as in Tracker is a Tremendous pain in the rear

This is a school computer on a friday surprised it is not slow yet and I use it almost every friday. In the school library and when ever my 5th peroid teacher says I can work on the computer. You can work and have fun at the sametime. Im allowed to listen to music thay don't mind flickr everyone is allowed google.
Sometimes I will use flickr for school assighments but I will ask before I use a poodle photo just the right thing to do.

"In the early 1980s British Rail were looking to replace the remaining 1950s first generation Diesel Multiple Units on lightly used branch lines. Financial pressures precluded them ordering more heavyweight second generation units (the business case could not be made to balance) so were looking for a cheaper alternative.
British Rail engineers looked at the Leyland National bus, then in widespread usage, with its modular design as a basis for the design. Several single and two car prototypes were built before an order was placed with Leyland Bus for 20 class 141 two car units in 1984.
The units were notoriously unreliable, but reliability improved when the units were modified by Hunslet-Barclay between 1988 and 1989. At the sametime the railway coupling (which was a Buckeye coupling) was replace with same type fitted to the later class 142, for more flexible working.
The driving axles (one per coach at the inner end) were fitted directly to the chassis rather than being mounted on bogies, leading to a rather rough ride especially over pointwork, and because of this the units were generally less popular with passengers.
The trains were based mainly in and across West Yorkshire on routes radiating from Leeds, where they worked up until 1997 when they were replaced by Class 142. They were sponsored by West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive, and were initially painted in the PTE's Verona green and buttermilk livery with "MetroTrain" branding, later receiving the red and cream "METRO-TRAIN" livery.
The units were numbered from 141001 to 141020. After modification they became 141101 to 141120, although not in order, since the opportunity was taken to match the final digits of the unit numbers with those of the vehicle numbers.
It looks like all of the units were withdrawn by 1997 and amazingly three have been preserved. Again from Wikipedia:
"At the end of their career with British Rail, most members of the class were sold to Islamic Republic of Iran Railways and were exported during 2001/2002.[2] Two units were also exported to Holland but they are not currently being used. However, some trains did remain in the United Kingdom. Three units are operational in preservation:- 141103 at the Weardale Railway, 141108 at the Colne Valley Railway, and 141113 at the Midland Railway – Butterley. 141110 is also at the Weardale Railway, but is not in operational condition (spares donor) and one vehicle has been scrapped."

For my photograph on modernism I got inspired by Ansel Adams. Ansel Adams takes very beautiful pictures of landscapes regarding nature. In most of his pictures you can see that he likes to really make the clouds stand out. Seeing how he really defines the clouds in the pictures just gives so much detail and life to the picture. He really liked to add a sharp focus to his photos which made them even more realistic…in my opinion. He really captured nature and the environment in its natural habitat. From his photos you can tell that he really liked to capture mountains and the sky, which is wonderful. The photo I chose is of the church I go to in Mexico. It was supposed to be somewhat similar to his landscape pictures but at the sametime I added my own touch. I tried to capture the clouds as best as I could to Ansel’s but I couldn’t really get that sharp definition. I really enjoyed taking this picture and using Ansel Adams as my inspiration because it was a lot of outdoors and sightseeing.

The Benelux IBM Collaboration Software user group's conference, Engage, took place in Brussels May 14th and 15th in 2019. The venue was the awesomely cool museum Autoworld, with a huge collection of vintage cars and vehicles.
The conference is centered on the collaboration tools from IBM, like Notes/Domino, Sametime, Connections and others. It also deals with third party tools that interacts with these systems, as well as general talks on user adoption, development and administration.
Over 400 people were at the conference, and as always it was a wonderful opportunity to meet old friends, make new friends, engage in discussions, learn, teach, make contacts, make deals and just having a good time.

Once again Theo Heselmans and his lovely wife Hilde pulled off a spectacular event. 1. I come up with this idea after I read an article about child abuse. I pushed myself to get creative by trying to show the pain and fear that children go through when they're being abused. I put a tape in my sister's mouth to show that when kids are being abused they are threatened not to tell anyone.
2. I shooted the photo inside and shooted it in a dark area with little light. I didn't do anything special i just used tape and wrote on it
( Don't tell Anyone Or I'll Kill You)
3. I didn't do a lot of editing I just adjusted the lighting.
4. The issue was child abuse, the message was that a lot of kids are being abused and nobody knows about it because they are either scared or threatened not to tell. The connection between me and the story is that I had a neighbour who were being abused by her step dad but she was scared to tell, so she had to suffer alone. The photo is a message to make more people realize that a lot of kids are being abused without no one knowing,
5. Reflection
I think this photo was successful and not successful in the sametime. I think i could've evoked more emotions and could've made the photo better.
Lotus Sametime 7.5 can already connect to external contacts through Lotus Sametime Gateway; our design team is continuing to refine the UI, though - some relatively small (but very pleasing) enhancements are coming in 7.5.1.
