The Safety helmets were somewhere else, loved the placement!
All the rest is in Pickering station, manned by all the volunteers.

The Network Rail bods attending the points at Water Orton East Junction take refuge as 66762 passes with 4O69 Hams Hall to Southampton Western Docks. Builders bags containing ballast along with sleepers and pads litter the foreground left over from when the points were replaced earlier this year.

Someone left their helmet on the concrete. The construction site is very complicated. I'm afraid one might just ignored his/ her own safety. Hopefully not.

The New Mexico State Police managed traffic control while the C&TS rotary plow moved along between Chama and the New Mexico-Colorado state line. The road was closed much of the time, but the police occasionally guided traffic around us much as they would do in a construction zone.
