Loco crew crossing the tracks at the north end of Vauxhall station in around 1964, with a grimy Bulleid WC/BB pacific passing with an outbound express, and 'Merchant Navy' 35004 ''Cunard White Star'' running light-engine back to Waterloo.. This loco was withdrawn in October 1965, and scrapped in February 1966.
Steam services here ended in July 1967, and today (2024) the skyline here has changed considerably. The old buildings on the right have vanished, and there is a park on the site, laid out in the 1970s, and renamed to 'Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens' in 2012..
Restored from a faded unfocussed cyan-colour-shifted original..
